Could have advanced to final if I started 29 of the 32 defenses, but luckily I started one of the 3 that would lose me the game. Cool.

Lead my league in scoring. Missed the playoffs.   If I had made it, I’d be in the finals this week.  One of my losses, my opponent played the Tennessee defense at the last second because his defense was on a bye. I think they scored 30

also lost starting Watson over Brady a couple weeks ago

Made it to the final for the first time in years…really hoping Pollard is healthy.

For D I’m looking at:

GIANTS v Indy

DETROIT v Chi

JAGUARS at Hou

My normal D is BILLS at Cincy

Thoughts Fantasy wizards?

Shit, thinking about sitting Jacobs vs niners? I was already considering it before Carr got benched. My other options are Moss or Murray. Was leaning Moss but also dont know if they'll limit Jacobs touches.

Made it to the championship in my money league. Offered to split prize with contender, said no. First year of the league so our rules still need adjusting. Big big money to winner, payback of buy in to loser. Guess we're rolling the dice!

That said, are dortch or hidgens worth playing over kirk or gabe davis? Don't know how dortch is with Colt, gabe is streaky, hidgens is just unknown. Excited for the wknd but sure is a tad stressful. Currently predicted to win 52-48% but this year has taught me that means fuck all once the ball is in tee'd off.

Lol, exactlY. The giants wr, had two great games so going with the proven studs and not untested hot flashes in the pan (least for now, might change my mind ten times between now and Sunday)

Is Stevenson good to go? Otherwise I read panthers are gonna be running it against TB but that’s internet talk so grain of salt and all that.

So you think Chubba over Stevenson potentially?

Me? Kinda only cause panthers can run and if Stevenson not 100. If Stevenson good to go, go with him. Much smarter folk than me saying panthers running this wknd but who knows. My dumbass torn over playing hodgins over gabe or jeudy

RB…what you say Surly?

D. Foreman at TB

or

Pacheco vs DEN

I also have the option of dropping D. London vs AZ into flex and using D. Montgomery vs DET as my RB.

Final thought…would it be “safe” to start QB Goff vs CHI over Allen at CINCY? I haven’t benched Allen all year.

One of our CCG owners started Brady, but kept Evans on the bench.  He almost certainly would have won SB had he started Evans.   One roster decision worth about $400... LOL.

Who else is incredibly impatient?

Made the playoffs in all of my leagues yet again, but what I’ve found in the last couple of years to be keeping me from championships is simple: Impatience

Though I’m super active on waivers, most of my leagues have relatively shallow benches, and that often drives me to release players with potential too early.

Here are a few from across my leagues this year that would have made a difference if I simply held on and resisted the temptation of grabbing the “next best thing”:

- Etienne
- Godwin
- G Wilson
- Dobbins
- Hubbard
- Akers
- Pickens
- J Cook
- Hockenson
- Di Johnson

Each of them had multi-week stretches where they either underperformed or directly cost me matchups and we’re promptly jettisoned. But I was probably too hasty… who else has similar (bad) impulses?

Need J Chase to have less than 5 points tonight to win it all. Yea right. If Cousins had even an average game I likely win, meanwhile I have D Jones at 36 points on the bench. What a kick in the nads.

Its been a solid FF year so far. Two leagues, two finals. In one league I need McPherson  to score 4 pts which he's done most games (but not last week). Hate relying on kickers for anything in FF. In the other league I need 12 pts from Burrow, which he has managed every game this season. Of course, the Bungals will probably get shut out tonight,  and i'll be left standing with my 2nd place dick in my hand. Guess its time to head over to the sportsbook and see if there are any player props I can use as a hedge.

In our league's SB, at the time of injury, our game was 52%-48% for each team's chance of winning. one team was done but had a lead.  Other team had Stefan Diggs and Joe Mixon still to go.

Do y'all think just splitting the 1st/2nd place purses is reasonable?

Got damn.... This is gonna rank pretty high on the all-time bad beat assfuckings if they don't complete this game this week.

Yep. What we did in our league after realizing the severity of the situation. Hard to think about football or fantasy right now.

Same thing here. I’m going to suggest that we just call it Co-champs. But I was down 12 with a 64% win probability with both Josh Allen and Tyler Boyd and the other guy was finished.

Commish here, I'm up 63 points in the championship, I'm done and opposing team only has Diggs and Allen left.  I think I am going to agree that Diggs and Allen's Week 18 stats against the Pats count for this week assuming they don't announce before then that the game is going to be made up.

we have something similar. Team 1 had a huge lead (99% win expectancy on ESPN) but team 2 had Burrow and Chase so if they had a Brady-Evans type  day they could have won. I think team 2 should get Burrow-Chase’s points from next week.

Yeaaaa I have a 5 point lead with the other guy having just Chase left. Interested to see how this debate plays out. My top 2 receivers combined for 3.9 points last week so it’s not inconceivable butttt

I think the best option is to just abide by the rules of the platform that you play on (which seems to primarily be that if a game is not completed by Wednesday of the game week, scores and results stand as is) and split the winnings and/or have co-champions if the result was materially impacted by the postponement.

Not a fan of giving last night’s players zeroes.  We voted today and decided on 50-50 split between 1st & 2nd since one guy had Diggs and Mixon remaining. I feel like that was right for our situation.

Posted

I'm up by 12 points (factors in points made until postponement) for the 3rd place game (3rd wins $, 4th wins $0) and I have Allen and Singletary while my opponent has Buurreeaauxx.  I have a 92% chance of winning.

My thought is to go with whatever Yahoo (our FFL site) decides and if the game is not replayed or continued, results are final.

I suppose we may also need to have a league vote on what to do.

Seems like the game will have to be continued if there are NFL playoff seeding implications.

Using stats for players for next week's games seems a bit arbitrary. A player could have a bad matchup next week that the FFL manager might not want.  A player could also be rested due to wrapping up a division.

Posted

Both my leagues (espn,nfl.com) now have statements saying the scoring period for week 17 will be extended, more details to follow. So we'll give it a couple days to see what they come up with.

Posted

One of my leagues, Yahoo league, one of the teams in the championship game had three guys playing Monday night and ended up losing by 1 point. I'm pretty sure in three more quarters he would have had far more points than needed to claim the trophy.

correction,

the manager with a 1% chance graciously conceded defeat.

Our dumbass commish made Week 18 the championship, therefore last weekend was the semis.  I'm up 7 with my opponent having Allen and the Buf D.  In the other game, one team is up 16 with the opponent having Higgins and McPherson.  Since we can't just split the pot or use Week 18 points to determine, we've decided to just wipe the slate clean and use Week 18 points to decide 1-4.
