Tulsa King with Stallone

So we're really trying to do The Heights again 20 years later with a 50 year old Jamie Walters/Ray Pruitt? Man I fully bought into this being a mob show, not a promo for an acoustic guitar heartthrob's new release on Spotify. How times have changed but they really haven't. How do you talk to an Angel?

Enjoyed the season but the finale felt rushed. The ending scene with the bar owner singing a love song to Dwight was cheesy af, borderline creepy. And because I know this area of law pretty well, the Indian casino and tribal jurisdiction stuff is so inaccurate it hurts. I’ll watch season 2 even though I heard that it won’t be filmed here, they’ll just use stock footage for the setting.

It just dawned on me that the stable owner is Dana Delany. I like Dana Delany a lot.

Took me a while to recognize her. She's not China Beach Dana anymore, but still wood. Another example of perfect casting in this series.

Enjoyed the show, but as I said you have to suspend a lot of disbelief. I was disappointed in the finale. A couple of things… apparently every biker shot died immediately as there was no one left injured when Sylvester went full Rambo and single handedly took out the only guy left alive who just happened to be the leader. Machine gun biker emptied his entire 300 round stick magazine into the bar mirror instead of waiting for a target, or at least shooting into the thin plywood bar all the guys were hiding behind. It seems to me that the bribery charge would be pretty easy to beat as there was no evidence he asked her to do anything and she was willingly banging him from the first night they met. Just as easy to say it was either a gift or extortion. And he could easily get bailed out within a few hours. It’s not like they’re hauling him directly to prison and a trial like that could take a couple of years to happen. I’m definitely going to watch season 2, just disappointed in how they wrapped everything up.

Sorry I should’ve spoilered that. My bad!

Surprised this hasn't been posted.......

There was a shootout over the weekend at the Whiskey Barrel Saloon in SW OKC that killed three bikers and injured three others. Just a fight between two rival biker gangs.

What's interesting about this is that this is the bar where they shot the exterior shots for Tulsa King.

Finally watched the first 4 episodes, am not disappoint.  The idea has been done a couple of ways (my blue heaven is my personal favorite) but it doesn't matter with a good supporting cast to help Rocky carry the weight.  And good writing.  Is it just me or do many of the shows I like seem to have a connection to Freaks and Geeks?

Just started it back up. WTF with that Pretty Woman trying on clothes montage, and any time she’s on screen all I can see is that Dana Delaney’s had so much work done to her face that there’s absolutely no movement from her top lip to the scalp line.

This season is very weird. Odd dialogues and exchanges that seem out of place. The whole Jelly Roll scene as some kind of misguided prank on Dwight for example. And I still resent them trying to make the bar owner guy the next Elvis.
