No, it's typical.  When you get a subpoena, you are required to turn over documents responsive to the subpoena.  You are not required to turn over, or preserve, all documents.  I don't think Hillary even received a subpoena, but rather just agreed to cooperate with the requests; she sure as shit didn't have a search warrant served on her.  If it was shown that she deleted an email relevant to the request, she'd be open to criminal charges.  That hasn't been shown.  It's pretty much the same process which Don Jr. and others have gone through on the Congressional investigations.  They claim they are cooperating and turning over all relevant documents.  But there isn't a verification process, just the threat of criminal consequences.

In any of those situations, it's fair to question whether the respondent is being forthcoming in the production of documents, just as it's fair to question their testimony. It's idiotic to pretend it's something unusual.
