Watched an episode on a whim today.  Interesting and pretty funny.  I'll give it a few more before calling it good or bad.  Couldn't be set in Houston without a little DJ Screw, Astros, and some lean.

I am enjoying it as well.  It is always fun watching something and recognizing exact locations and shit.  In like ep 5 when they are at the barbershop I already knew which one they were at.  Over in EaDo by Little Woodrow's area.   Different name obviously, but I knew when I saw the Pizza Hut next door lol.

I liked it, it had a good run there of the last few episodes being really gripping. Then there's some wtf moments, like Bun B as a priest, and the whole ending of Mo deporting himself. But overall it's a cool vibe, like that he showcases lots of the city, and lots of different people in the cast. Feels like the Houston I grew up in.

I enjoyed it as well. It’s easy to root for Mo and the supporting characters. Story wise needs a little bit more focus though. Hopefully Netflix algorithms shows that it was good enough for a season 2. Love seeing the diversity, grittiness, hustle, and economic disparity shown in the show.

Not at the same level of greatness of Reservation Dogs, but the same vibe for me.  Insight into a culture I knew little to nothing about and  likeable characters with real world problems.

I’m 3 in and will keep watching...the soundtrack is keeping my attention. Also happy to see Mo wear Astros/Rockets a gear and no Texans stuff (so far) 😆🤘

And a little bit of Oilers scattered around

I remember so little about season one other than I enjoyed it.  I'll probably rewatch the final episode just to get my bearings.

Just rewatch it.

I had never heard of this show, watched the first episode last night.  It's not hilarious, but I thought it was engaging and the Palestinians in Houston is fresh and very interesting.

This show is Emmy worthy and probably not getting enough love.  The subtle love letter to Houston is icing on the cake.

Reminds me of the best episodes of Louie and far superior to Master of None which had a similar vibe and I also liked.

And Mo Amer is fucking funny, too.

Love this show so much. It's the Palestinian 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'.

If you get a chance, check out Mo's appearance with Stewart on the Daily Show the other night.
