csb/ Radio Shack at Westgate Mall happened to have the BC/Miami game on when we caught the Flutie play happen /csb.

/csb alert

Westgate Mall had a Jean store (can’t remember the name) where little Al got an autographed poster of Rusty Weir out front after getting his grilled cheese from the SandWitch across the way.

You had to blow on it to make it work.

Blowing was for Nintendo cartridge. Atari games plugged and played every damn time. Those superior graphics make me think Atari.

Lol I remember hearing fables about someone’s brothers friend had Custer’s revenge and it was outlawed but he got it on the black market…. And if the cops ever found out!

Hah. Never saw it in person though

how much did games cost back then? I was too young to ever buy one. seems like that one was a waste of money

I don’t remember what they cost in the heyday but there was a brief period when Atari fell out of favor but before Nintendo took over and Walmart was selling Atari cartridges for $0.25 on clearance. I bought $5 worth that day and felt like Richie Rich walking out with that bag of games.

$20 to $30. There was always a bargain bin in places like KMart that had ratched games for like $5. They mostly sucked, but sometimes you find a gem in there.
