I was fortunate in that the last house we live in when I was a kid that had these lines we moved out of when I was still short enough to run under them unimpeded.

I may have had a few encounters with the poles, however. 🤬

Posting history reaffirms said encounters. lulz

Pro Tip: Make sure you check the inside of the pipe for yellowjackets or red wasps.

Yellowjackets are irrationally irascible little bastards. They like to nest on the unferside of wooden fence caps, too.

I don't get the hate for this lady. It was fun to watch. Was it true breakdancing? Probably not, but who gives a shit? It was a one time exhibition event. Anyone who takes breakdancing so serious they would death threat this lady must be terribly lame at parties.

I think some of hate is from her and her husband rigging the contest in Australia

I don't think most of it is hate nearly so much as just finding it ridiculous.

And the fact that she is a professor in cultural studies, studying the cultural politics of break dancing, an art form that developed from the African American and Latino American cultures in NYC.  The visuals of a white progressive woman, supposedly sympathetic to marginalized groups, culturally appropriating, diluting, and denigrating an art form developed by those groups, is illustrative of her hypocrisy.
