and all of Colt's success was on the backs of two guys.

ok i stopped responding to you days ago because you’re so far gone you’re irredeemable when it comes to this subject, but this is fucking horse shit. colt was a short, lowly recruited, 3* qb from a one-horse town who had a mediocre arm, an o-line full of “look out” blockers, zero running game (we literally didn’t have a solidified starter until week 6, and again, colt led the team in rushing), and the most conservative, weak minded, scared to death coaching staff in football. colt was running for his life on every single play in 08 (and 09!) and all you have to say for that is, “quan and shipley are solely responsible for colt’s success.”

40:50 mark of this video. Paul says the same thing that I said about this play. And just so you know this video didn't exist when I first said it. Again, you guys are screaming "dumb ass Quinn" and not seeing that the receiver is supposed to go hot when his man blitzes. Teams are seeing that we don't recognize blitzers from the secondary and are sending them. People either aren't making sight adjustments or are running right by them when they could at the very least chip them on their way out in their route.

One thing I found interesting in this video is them calling out Sark for being full of shit with his comments about "tell teams to stop playing us over the top" or whatever the specific quote was. IMO Sark saying that kind of stuff is just cope to protect Quinn because Quinn is dog shit at deep balls.

Uh, no.  Teams are taking away the deep ball because they don't have to respect the run.  Losing Baxter hurt us bad, and Blue has not exactly filled the void (and is a different type of cat anyway).  Sark and Ewers are trying to take what is given and are doing a decent job at it.

Take it up with Scipio....the video doesn't match the words with Sark.

Fuck Scipio.  Why you guys have a hardon for him is beyond me.  He's the Sushihorn of football.

IMO the real issue is that we're not attacking the middle of defenses anymore in the intermediate. This 10 yards and fewer plays to the outside works vs teams like Vanderbilt and UTSA but it's not going to work vs the teams ahead on our schedule. Hopefully out of the bye week and against Florida we begin to attack the middle intermediate areas.

Well, lacking our most explosive receiver on Saturday didn't help.  I also think Sark is probably focusing on what works against a given opponent instead of trying to cram square pegs into round holes because some fan thinks we need to "attack the intermediate middle of the defense".

You're right only hitting specific areas and not hitting others definitely doesn't help defenses that we will face moving forward. Good analysis.

Per Paul

vs blitz 15/19 163 yards 2 TDs/2 INTs
vs pressure 5/12 47 yards and 1 INT
Notes that just because there is a blitz doesn't mean there is pressure and that pressure is actually being pressured.

I think that was the info they were giving out last season.

The goal is to win the game.  There are multiple things to clean up after Vandy, and the bye helps.  The whole team underperformed.

If you think our offensive scheme going forward is going to be identical to what it was on Saturday, I don't know what to say.  Bitch on, I suppose.

We've been in tight and bunch all season....until I actually see us spread out in formations and create space with formations for what we've been doing offensively this offense is going to be easy defend against better defenses that we will see moving forward. Vandy quite literally said fuck their initial game plan and sent nickel and corner blitzes while flooding the a gap in the second half. It caused our offense to become shit and they don't have near the athletes Florida, Arkansas, or A&M has.

Colt would shred with Sarkisian and the receivers we have. Our 2024 OL would be better than any OL Colt had outside of his RS-Freshmen year.

Holy shit, can you imagine the numbers Colt would've put up with Sark as HC or OC?

I'm guessing that's why Niblack doesn't get a lot of snaps.

Of course, neither Helm nor Campbell did much better with their assignments

Don't you ever, and I mean ever, utter a single bad word about Jesus Helm. He does nothing wrong. That flag against him was pure bullshit. All he did was touch his titties, asn as far as I know that's not a flag. He's a perfect specimen would die for us (Thank you, Maynard).

It’s always funny when fans say “well , if we play like this we’ll lose to so and so “. That team’s fans are saying the same thing about their team. “ if we play like that we won’t beat Texas “. I’m a fanatical too , so I do the same thing sometimes. The truth is we just have to play better than the other team that day. Get the w and move on to next week. NFL lite is the new college football.  Just win and get in. That’s where I’m at with ewers. I don’t care how imperfect he is let’s just win. And FUCK OU AND aggy.

Vandy blitzed the living sh!t out of Texas. It was the highest blitz rate Texas seen all year. Much of it started in the 2Q and beyond. They were not hanging back. It was a constant barrage of the NB and CB blitzes with the occasional A gap blitzing LB. Texas won some and lost some, but it kept Vandy in the game. Texas just isnt dealing well with it

No Bond.  Helm (of the titty hold) has stepped up.  No Baxter.  Essentially no Blue.  Our RT is going to parties on Thursday dressed as a turnstile.

I mean, sometimes you just have to take the hand you are dealt.  That doesn't mean we'll be stagnant for the rest of the year.

You do know spreading out formations and attacking intermediate and such will make it where defenses aren't piled up near the box, right? It'll create more run lanes and such because of spacing.

You know that is on the HC/OC not the QB right? Game plans, scheme and execution from other players not named Quinn have an impact on the game.

You know there could be receivers open in the middle of the field and the QB is just not throwing there because he's quickly checking down, right?

Yes, I do know that so can you admit to my question which is saying it isn't all QE like so many in here including you are inferring? He has played bad, so have others, blaming QE for the failures of the entire offense is absurd. If any one person is to blame it is the OC/HC. He is the one in charge of the shitshow.

Why? Because Quinn is so bad Sark is forced to reduce his normal offense to what it is this year.

Do you need every single poster on this site to tell you that you're a dumbass and should post less?  Or will you just keep on constantly and rapidly posting nonsense regardless.

Of course not.  It's not all because of Quinn, though.  Multiple people have pointed out multiple issues and you seem hyper-focused on this one guy that you apparently hate.  Whatever.

It's 100% Quinn, all the metrics show it. But fuck facts, right?

LOL at your fucking "metrics".  You're an idiot.  I'm done, and I'm ashamed for getting into it with you.

You disagree with Quinn's passing charts? Interesting.

This was through week 5 last year, but it hasn't changed much except intermediate/middle of the field completions/attempts in which those have shifted down and out now. The deep stuff hasn't changed.

Some of its scheme and some of its the qb. And some of its the oline. And some of its the rb pass pro. And some of its receiver communication. And some of its penalties. And sometimes it’s just plain bad fucking luck. Does that answer everyone’s question. Quinn is tearing surly apart lmao.

Interesting that Sark's scheme has always been predicated on stretching teams vertically but with Quinn that isn't his scheme because Quinn simply can't do it.
