Holy shit no wonder y'all are in your feelings about this. He's not in the fucking NFL. The Longhorns are a college team &, no matter what your thoughts of him preseason were, he was never playing in the NFL this season. Feel free to bitch about him not being a good NFL QB when he's in the fucking NFL. He took a month off in the middle of the season & came back against 2 of the best defenses he's going to face this season without his #1 WR for most of those games & looked rusty. NO SHIT. If our OL/TE doesn't commit 4 second half penalties including 3 holding calls then maybe the end result of the Vandy game would have been more like vagisil for your burning vaginas instead of sandpaper. Quinn has some things to clean up, so do the WRs, RBs, & OL. If Cam Williams & co. are going to either give up a sack or commit a penalty every drive nothing else is going to make much of a difference

I’m going to roll with this narrative to get me through the bye week. Although it feels like a false sense of security. Rooting for Quinn to light up the Gators, but I don’t see it.

It was underthrown, receiver had to slow down and made what should have been an untouched TD into a contested catch TD. If that pass is broken up then you all are bitching that it was a shitty throw.

Shit it was a touchdown and here you are bitching that it was a shitty throw.

Interesting that Sark's scheme has always been predicated on stretching teams vertically but with Quinn that isn't his scheme because Quinn simply can't do it.

That's not Sark's scheme, only part of it like everyone else's. Run football, bite on run RPO, sit on RPO, throw over top. Rinse and repeat. The Sark loop. But you know the first and most important part of Sark's scheme? Running the football. Teams are sitting back in coverage and we can't get them to walk up and address the running game. They handle it easily in base D. So teams are ignoring the run game and scheming for Quinn.

Vandy wasn’t sitting back in coverage the entire second half.

behind him in the same recruiting class is a guy starting for the Bears, the Patriots, and 2 guys ahead of him on the Heisman watch (Milroe, Dart). none of them were rated as highly as him, but the closest guy in the following year leads a 6-1 Clemson team tossing 20-3 TD ratio.

Sounds like the recruiting sites fucked up. Quinn pussy!

Not to mention Mac was throwing to 2 1st round receivers, 1 2nd round receiver and 1 1st round running back that could absolutely run everyone the fuck over.

Watch as Quinn buries the ball into the turf instead of taking a stupid sack. He saw the blitzing corner the entire play and knew this was a dead play.

I’m sure the board would’ve reacted to that very normally

Bijan and Brooks

worthy bond Mitchell Whittington golden Wingo

JT Helm

Quinn had more than enough talent around him to run full sark offense. He just sucks at deep ball so we can’t run full sark offense

So if  I’m clear on this idea that Quinn is not even a qb at next level and the worst player in ncaa per some on this board. Any qb other than Quinn would have this team undefeated averaging 100 pts a game because we ran out of time or it would be more. Let me know surly who I need to start hating on the team I root for that’s holding us back from scoring infinity on teams.

Jalen milroe throws a beautiful deep ball. Maybe the best thing he does. That motherfucker lost to vandy. And never lead in the game at all - that dude has to be the worst qb in the world. It’s quinn than milroe at the bottom for sure

You’re forgetting he’s also a terrible OC and won’t spread out our formations

It's clear to me that if BO&W (a self proclaimed 'non-pussy') was the HC, OC and QB we would never lose again.

Yea with personnel like that he should’ve at least been able to game manage us to one play away from going to a national championship for the first time in 15 years. Too bad he’s such a pussy.

crazy that a state championship winning coach is saying what I’ve been saying about spreading the formations out.

I'm not sure where this is coming from.  Taking out sack yardages, only Georgia kept us to what I would consider a bad ypc.  I think more than anything Sark is abandoning the run too often, combined with negative plays forcing us to throw.

This is exactly what I think. We need to run more. He panicked against Georgia. I understand but man I thought the runs were there if he stuck with it earlier. They were ready for short throw bullshit. He should have pivot and ran right at them. Fuck me for thinking of that shit again. I think he gives up on run to quick. I understand with our rb depth but dammmmit

Over 100 other QBs didn’t even make it to the point to make that throw. They must be MASSIVE pussies.

Versus MSU our top 2 RBs were at 6+ YPC. Same for OU.  Vandy was at 4.7.  Wisner at 3.5 versus UGa.

The mighty SEC defenses.  Imagine how great we’d be versus Big 12.

We are winning the next 4. Georgia is anomaly in talent and circumstance.  Vandy was a recovery and one game.

Now, this, I am aligned with you on.  I would like to scrap having Juan Davis on the field so much and move towards 11 personnel to get more speed on the field.

You mean like when the UGa CB make the big play in the game?  Mostly bring a smartass on this comment.  More wideouts, likely more unidentified blitzers however.

I don’t have the breakdown but I’m not sure 2 TEs hasn’t been more successful scoring points than more WRs.  I do question a bit whether all the transfers have great chemistry with Ewers, could introduce some hesitation.

Take a look at Mac Jones highlights in the national championship game just before Sark came to Texas.

Key differences from where we are now:

  • Elite offensive line play
  • See above now add Najee Harris...so they have a good balance
  • The receivers on this team were off the charts elite, but not enough to really argue that we are that far off
  • Mack Jones would step-up and had good pocket feel on when to run, Ohio State didn't really respect it, but he would rip off a few break-downs and had really good pocket sense.

A lot of plays around the LOS, but because of the above, they were able to throw it deep a few times and connect.

We need to run the ball better, protect better...that opens up middle and longer options more consistently.

This Alabama offense looks just like us....we are just missing a few things to run it how Sark did at Alabama.

It doesn't help that we run the football successfully we get a fucking holding penalty. Must be Quinns' fault for holding too.

Sark has talked about Tau and Mac. He said Tau was great in the RPO game. He had to dial it back for Mac and went more play action. The Sark offense isn’t always the same offense. Arch offense will be more play action with more shot plays. Quinn more RPO.

Texas is lucky the bye week came now. There is a mess of issues. Just a few off the top of my head
1. Wingo needs to learn to stop, when he sees a CB blitz

2. Quinn’s footwork and pocket presence  need to improve. He has to better job of identifying blitzes. Not sure I have ever seen him change a protection in 2.5 years of being the QB.  Like to see him get deeper in his reads

3. RB blocking is a roll of the dice.

4. Love Helm, but he is a bad pass blocker. Sanders was bad and got Quinn knocked out of the Houston game. Either teach it better or find another way

5. when Vandy is blitzing the Nickel relentlessly, don’t run condensed sets. Make him come from farther out. Love condensed sets, but there is a time and place

6. Pre-snap penalties have to stop

7. Finally came out running the football more vs  Vandy. Nice balance between man and zone blocking. Let’s continue that.

No, I meant like what sparked us getting out of an offensive funk versus OU, but I’m going off of memory right now.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Hayden Connor is abysmal, Cam Williams is a penalty waiting to happen, and Campbell is meh. Banks, by and large, has been the only consistent guy on the o-line. I'm serious when I ask wny not give Neto a chance in a game just to see what he can do, so he can ball out, and we can call Flood a Looch sock because he dominates, or he can't be any worse than Conner, but has a higher ceiling. Campbell/Hutson just sucks. CM can get better with another season (assuming he's not retarded and feels good about being a mid-round draft pick, but other than Banks and Majors, we hace some really terrible line who hace been in the system for 3 years. I just want Conner removed. He's a liability and he sucks at run blocking. He doesn't hace that dog mentality to dominate.

Thank you for coming to my OnlyFans talk.

Holy shit the first 4 plays are: screen, check down, 6 yards pass and 3 yard flip. That pass to Harris is in a clean pocket too, Mac jones must be a pussy for not throwing deep. I see the difference, Devontae smith/waddle and Najee Harris make worthy/bond Baxter/blue look like regular guys lol. How funny. Mac jones is already a has been in the nfl by the way.

Immediatelg after a loss: the sky is falling, Quinn sucks, Sark sucks, the whole team sucks.

A few days later: Well, maybe there is hope if we can fix a few things. Let's see how we respond.

After the next win: We are back baby. In Sark we believe. Quinn is the best QB since VY.

Having Baxter to make 2 yards into 4 yards would help this offense tremendously.

Are you talking the same Mac Jones that hit almost 60% of his deep balls for 17 TDs?  The one who had an average depth of target of 8.8 yards?

Ewers probably just throws his screens much further behind the LOS to bring that average depth of target down.

Sark does have stellar screen/short passing game.  He’s had occasions here when the O is struggling a bit and hasn’t used it enough.
