That first pick against vandy was the LB untouched blitzing? Our OL should be embarrassed to let a LB’er from vandy not get his ass punished for jumping in the air. That one is hardly Quinn’s fault, unless you want him to eat that hit I guess. That blindside hit from the Georgia CB is also pretty ballsy to blame on the qb. The rest are probably his fault but those two at least are just pretty shitty OL play and a really good defensive play call.

These guys don't acknowledge anything but "Quinn is awful and won't even get drafted". Guys coming through an OL untouched....pffttt...If he wasn't a pussy he would've stiff-armed him and still thrown a dart then went to the lockerroom like...

Brownsville Station approves--well, of the Marlboro, at least. Not so sure about the Fresca.

Just talking about general turnovers. yes, the CB blitz is on the Qb. 1st Vandy in wasnt on a the Qb, second was. Again it’s ints in 5 of 6 games.Feel free to try and minimize the issue.  I am not mentioning the lucky dropped ints. Quinn came into this year the career leader in ints/attempt at Texas. Never thrown more than 6 ints in a season. He is already there and hasn’t even played 6 full games. PFF gave him 6 turnover worthy plays in the Georgia game alone. Like I said I sure Sark and even Quinn would agree the turnovers need to stop

Weird to be both turnover prone and have the shortage yards per attempt of any QB in the top 4 conferences.

I don't know how this gets fixed in 2 weeks but if it doesn't we'll be watching the playoffs from the sidelines.

I’m assuming you mean air yards, not yards per attempt? The yards per attempt numbers aren’t bad. Shows the type of YAC we are getting.

Backside CB blitz gets an alert by the receiver just like yelling "peter" by the punt returner to let your teammates know to get away from the kick. Wingo was there and not only no alert but ran his normal route. Not sure if you are noticing a trend of teams blitzing, Wingo being there, and things going wrong.

Look last year argued next to you against Derka. Last year Quinn finished around the #20 QB in the nation according to PFF. At the time I thought Derka was bat shit crazy.

This season I find myself arguing with Derka and against you. The difference is PFF doesn’t have Quinn among the top 200 performers at QB (at least prior to Vandy). Things have changed.

I made the MSNBC/ FOX joke a few pages ago. Like politics it seems people have made up their minds and on-field performance is not going to change them. There really isn’t much to else to say on the subject.

We are back to this spin again? Wide open Bolden on the slant and he doesn’t pull the trigger. PFF gave him the sack on that play. Heard Babers and Scip say the same thing, but you are going to do your thing.  Teams are blitzing for multiple reasons. Some is because of a Freshman WR, some OL, and Quinn is not handling it well. Only issue is you can not ever admit Quinn made a mistake. Like I said your spin has been the same for 2 years, despite an obvious drop in the quality of his play. I hope he turns it around, but I am not going to bury my head in the sand.

I'm really thinking Quinn pikes it on UF next Saturday. Our o-line should get back to form. It would not surprise me if we just absolutely destroy them.

That would be nice. Schedule working in Texas’s favor there. Getting them right after their biggest rivalry game

I've maintained the same position on that play. Are you saying a receiver isn't supposed to alert his QB a blitz is coming?

I mean, theoretically they should both see it and know what to do. I’d like to think the rs junior 3 year starter Heisman candidate qb would at least notice it and let the true freshman WR know.

every qb looked like Quinn today but way fucking worse. only qbs worth a shit today were the running qbs and even their passing looked like shit. need the oline to get better and we'll be fine.

I was noticing that today. This is a pretty poor QB year. Gabriel maybe the best QB of the NC contenders. Hard to trust guys like Beck, Howard, Allar, Nico, and Quinn. Going to make it a crazy playoff.

its a trend this year I've noticed especially since all this qe sux bullshit on this site.  not many pocket passers have been consistently good this year. rough year for the draft. plenty gms getting fired in the future for any 1st round qb draftees. don't think there is any top qbs in this draft.

Actually not true for the last three games I heard Rod Babers say in that time frame Ewers was ranked 158th or something it was over 130th  in yards per reception.

im so tired of hearing yards per throw and all these weird stats to show how sarks offense is dink and dunk. and ewers can't throw at all. truth is there aren't a bunch of teams that can keep up with our playmakers on the outside. so the 5 yd throw can turn into 60 yd td and who cares. we need sark to finish strong with his scheme and play calling. I think we put it together to finish strong. Georgia will lose one more so we won't get revenge.  lets fuck em all up. FAFO

Because pocket passers are a dying breed in modern offenses. Have to be a functional runner and athlete. When the 5 yard throw doesn’t go for 60 is when our offense sucks especially with Quinn struggling at middle and non existent deep ball

His offense isn’t just dink and dunk when he can trust his quarterback to throw downfield some, last few games he couldn’t.  Teams can adjust to that and scheme against the sideline passes once they figure that out, see Vanderbilt in the second half.

that's why I put it on sark. if his qb is limited he gets paid handsomely to make our offense work. were good to great at a lot of spots. he needs to scheme the shit out of it if that's what he needs to do

dart is good but im talking about franchise qbs. the ones that get gms fired

thats what I mean. sark needs to self scout and start getting in his bag a lil. especially if he's limited at qb like most are saying. my eyes are on sark. we have some good to great pieces. it doesn't  all have to be on qe every game.

I understand but if your qb can’t throw much more than screens and short out with confidence and consistency what’s left in the bag to pull out?  Ewers has to be able to throw downfield some and have a bit of pocket presence going forward for this team to win and hopefully next week he gets that figured out.

how about put wingo  or bolden at rb and throw them some swings like you see in nfl. just get ball in hands for our playmakers from different spots on the field. arch packages. shit like that. 3 te packages.  the bag homie

I don’t think it’s fair to the offensive line to say they “just need to be better”. They’re in a pretty bad position right now. They’re only permitted to a zone based run blocking scheme most of the game. Defensive lines aren’t concerned about Quinn’s mobility or deep ball game, so edges are recklessly racing to the backfield. Linebackers aren’t concerned about getting much depth in their drops so they’re waiting for screens. Watch the Florida game yesterday, the Georgia defensive line played contain almost the whole game.
