Did we go from like 7 projected first round picks possible to 1 now?

The number was ~3 in the preseason. Ewers, Banks, and Bond. I dont think the number is much different now. Williams is pushing for 1st round (will need to play much better than the last 2 games) and Ewers is a possibility (not looking to start the shit again, but there are mocks with 5 QBs in the 1st round out there)

Yeah, and we might have as many as Eight games left to play. (Ideally 7 🤘)

There is still a lot of season left.

If Daniel Jones can get drafted in the first round Ewers can too if the Giants are using the same scouts.

The thing about the NFL is that there is probably some coach out there that sees the good things Ewers has done and thinks "I can get him to do that all the time". It's not necessarily based on if they think a guy is king shit in college. If a guy can put some great things on tape it's enough for them to be intrigued.

It's that whole Bill Walsh thing. Coaches think they can make a guy with talent but who does dumb shit not do the dumb shit anymore. I find that to be stupid. Sometimes shit is just a fluke and you can't coach the bad shit out.

Williams and Banks should be good with the possibility of Barron and Bond?  No idea of nfl team needs other than Jerry will screw it up.

If Barron is in the top 3 for the Thorpe he's going 1st or 2nd rd. I think he's better than Hunter because Barron mitigates passes all over the field. But the popularity vote will probably, unfortunately, go to Hunter (who's an exceptional player). Regardless, all three who make it are worthy of it.

I agree. The mock draft I saw had Barron at 18 I think.

Lot of this will be very dependent on the combine. Does Barron run fast enough in the 40? You have to have test scores and measurements to go in the first round. Ask  Mike Mamula or Anthony Richardson if you don’t believe me

I apparently follow Quinn on IG and he posted some pro-Trump shit last night. It’s gone now so he either took it down or the story expired.

Something weird is going on. I’m seeing Trump references on all platforms.  Didn’t realize he was still making the rounds.

I don't give a shit about Ewers' politics and if you do you should take that conversation somewhere else.

Yea, I’m cool with him failing after Texas.  Something something he grabbed himself by his pussy.

Ohio State has no problem doing that.

yeah and we’re able to have insane RB rooms year after year but that doesn’t mean everyone else should expect to be able to emulate that. that said, if anyone could emulate tosu it should be us. i still wouldn’t expect it.

You are correct. I think Barron could run a 4.4 if he trains hard enough. Hell, I think Eric Berry ran a 4.4, and I looked up Barron and he's projected to run 4.4, so I would say there's a chance (JMO, obviously). Plus he can play both Nickle and Corner. But. Of course, there's a ton of other stuff he'll have to do, obviously. He'll kill in interviews, then there's how high he can jump and just stupid crap that doesn't even need to be in the combine. There's always looks like Tarzan plays like Jane.

Let's not forget Mazi Smith, who I know last year was absolutely awful. Not sure if he's taken that next step or not this season. I haven't followed Dallas.

Y'all need to chill.

QE is in the league next year.

Yes.

He will be a 2nd/3rd rounder at best. Which would actually be the ideal situation for possible success. He's nowhere near ready, hopefully some HC with a good franchise sees potential and sits him for a year or two. He needs a lot of good fortune to make it in the NFL.  His relatively slight frame and injury history will scare off most.

If I had to bet on it, I doubt he ever sees the field as a chosen starter. He's made good NIL money and will be fine.

Do you guys think Quinn will throw that INT on the first drive to get it over with? Or wait until a more pivotal moment later in the 1st half?

He usually likes to get it out of the way early. Romo was a late INT thrower. Those are the worst. Get your hopes up and then boom. I like my hopes dashed right away thank you.

Garrett Gilbert made the league. I'm too lazy to look but he still may be in the league.

Quinn is going to get drafted and will be on a team. His upside is too intriguing for many teams. He has plenty of film showing what he can do.

He is going to get drafted, based on his arm talent. He also has time to improve his stock. A&M will be a big game for him, scouts are going to want to see him handle some pressure. Based on PFF, which seems low, he has nothing but upside.  I would guess he is the lowest rated player on the Texas offense currently

Its PFF grades. I don think they are 100% accurate but is usually a solid barometer of play.

I love PFF grades. Kings of "well actually this player is really good, despite all the games you've watched of him sucking. We invented a metric out of thin air to prove it".
