The discourse on this thread remains incredibly nuanced. Keep it up, everyone.

There is no nuance. We had 357 yards of offense in that half. 297 of it was passing. 44 of it was a WR on a very well designed running play.

You figure out the rest.

We can’t run the ball and we are up 35-0.

But our QB is a pussy.

The criticism was deserved. There was still some sketchy play in the first quarter, but Quinn’s looked as good as he has in over a month. Maybe Sark needs to do a better job of warming Quinn up with throws that aren’t so predictable.

I told all you pearl clutching, tampon needing, no spine having bitches that we would be fine if Quinn played up to half of his ability. We should come together and crowd source that mouth breather that seems like he belongs on texags. IYKYK

Dude yes the are. Do you not understand how many players are injured and the positions they play? This is a non power 5 team with their current set of injuries.

Yes I know they had some secondary injuries. Still with all those injuries plus the major one to their QB, they came in a 21pt underdog. Less of an underdog than Miss State with a 3rd string walk on QB.

Florida is really injured and uninspired, but Quinn looks really good and finding his confidence more and more.

We should let Quinn get into a rhythm in the 2nd half and then put him on ice.

We've handed it off to a RB 7 times so far. Our run game is not elite, but a majority of run games require commitment to the concept before they really take off. The game plan today was clearly built on the passing game, and it's working. It's also worth remembering that our short passing game should be viewed as an extension of our running game. And that only works when you have a QB like Quinn that can make those sideways throws with good timing and placement.

The lack of nuance comment was about the extreme stances out there on Quinn. He's not a pussy, but he's also not playing at a CFP title winning level. He's had a ton of margin for error on many of his throws and has used nearly all of that margin on several. The first drop by Moore and the TD pass to Golden are two good examples. The missed pass to Bond where the DB fell down was also extremely poor. On the flip side, the 2nd drop by Moore was perfect and there have been a couple of other good tosses mixed in.

The main concern I have is that he's not going to get many (if any) throws with that kind of margin for error against better teams. So it's not hard to project what sort of trouble we might be in if that ends up being the case.

But again, I know people either have to be in the "Quinn is doing great" or "Quinn is a dumpster fire" camp around here.

Absolutely, and it's maddening to opposing DCs.

I'm not sure if Sark's play-calling make Quinn look better than he is, but ultimately, I don't care.  I like wins.

A lot of words for not every pass a QB throws is perfect.

Go watch a few KC games through the lens of expectations you are putting on the Texas Longhorns and their QB and let us all know what you think of Pat Mahommes.

It’s hard to defend the guy when he takes a normal hit and gives it to the other team.

Wasn’t a fumble, and he’s lit it up since then.

Well done Quinn

yeah quinn is capable of playing well enough to win it all.  the problem is that he seems to get rattled easily and completely goes to shit.  didn’t matter today but it absolutely matters in bigger games.

He's alright. Board wouldn't be fun if everyone thought the same.

Jesse Palmer just said Arch is better deep ball thrower, more athletic, and not a pussy

Has he said anything about short and intermediate NFL throws?  Just curious.

This was the game he needed. Florida has a good run defense so it was going to be on Quinn and Sark to make sure Quinn didn't crater in the pass game.

Offensive line had a much better game against a solid front.

Surprisingly, DeAndre Moore is the only guy on offense with a bad game.

Now it'll all be about how consistent the line and Ewers are to finish the season.

He glossed over Arch air-mailing those easy 10 yard throws though.

Or Arch throwing into triple coverage

Just now, Thatguy said:

Or Arch not understanding that if you don't throw it immediately on an RPO you cannot then hold the ball and try and throw downfield
