Obviously fake.

This is sooooo fucking embarrassing.  Come on Quinn.  You are a premiere representative of The University  of Texas!   You need to do that with the honor and dignity that your title commands.  A Texas QB shouldn’t EVER need to even ask for nudes…. this should be automatically occurring 24/7.  What kinda program is Sark running??

Not sure those clean pockets exist in your world.

It is a bit ironic that people give the pass protection hell on occasion then come back and changed their tone after watching it again and much more closely.  Our poor games are a day in the life of many QBs.  When we lose upfront, it’s often one guy.  That’s much easier to handle that 2+ plus guys.

It generally goes that as the Oline goes so goes the QB.

What football are you watching? Most teams O-linemen get beat but they don't regularly get confused and turn a guy completely loose. How many times have our opponents just not blocked a DT this year? You can probably count on one hand. Then count the amount of times we've allowed that to happen. More than our opponents by a lot. We played Georgia and didn't record a single sack despite how bad Beck played. Even Florida didn't allow that and we got fooled on a simple twist and turned a guy completely loose up the middle. It's one thing for a guy to come free on a blitz. It's another thing to not block a dude on a 3 or 4 man rush. It's always the same two dudes too.

We’re taking the messages out of context. Clearly Audrey is inundating Quinn’s phone with so many pussy pics that he’s pleading for her to only send “just one” pussy pic next time.

Texas Football: Quinn Ewers BEST Throws vs Florida, Film Breakdown & Reaction

I saw it mentioned earlier that quinn is great when it’s first read then check down. I watched the replay of the game and he looked like he went through his progressions a lot. He even came back to his first option a couple times and found him open. He looked confident and healthy. He froze a couple DB’s with his eyes and hell he even tried to block, albeit like a pussy, on that busted run play. He plays like that or close to like that and opponents should prepare their anus.

STFU about tuneup games...bad MOJO bro.

You know what I mean.

Quinn needs to build confidence back up and get into that flow state we know he has where he just can’t fucking miss. Taking weeks off before Georgia killed that and he wasn’t able to just play though it and get into a rhythm.

Basically we need Quinn to be all gas no brakes going into aggy or Sark needs to just get Manning ready now.

People tend to blame the OL for every sack, when studies have shown most sacks are on the QB. PFF credited 2 of the 8 on the OL in the Georgia game. We know that sack rates are one of the most consistent stats in the NFL when a QB changes teams and the least consistent when a team changes QBs. Sack avoidance is a QB skill. That does not mean every sack is on the QB. We should include the RBs and TEs in this also. Baxter getting hurt as had a major effect.

This was a masterpiece by Sark (helped by Florida's poor coverage). 5 clips and 4 to the 1st read. I mentioned the Helm throw as one of the few that Quinn had to go through his reads and hit a secondary read. Its scary when Sark is dealing.

So you watch a Florida and Georgia against us and think they get that performance every week?  Not exactly the way it works.  Ole Miss sacked Beck 5 times.  I’ve watched enough football to know every team, every player has ups and downs so the best judgment is over time and in totality rather than individual plays or games.

By the way, UF had 4 pressures versus us.  4.  That’s a pretty low number and at a percentage per throw that would rank amongst the very best in the country.  Out of 29 dropbacks.  We had 11 pressures on 27 drops not to mention two deflections that were picked.  I’ll take our performance over theirs even if we allowed a free rusher to get a sack that once.

The only free rusher that I recall versus Georgia was the CB blitz.  I don’t think a DT for any of UGa, UF, or Vandy registered a sack.

Hell, you can take it to the NFL.  Watching the Rams last night, they didn’t block for shit.  I remember 3 guys running free at #9 on one play.  We may screw up a stunt, but it’s very uncommon for us to have 3 guys running clean to the QB.  I’ll take a free rusher on 2-3% of plays than straight up whipped 35-40% of the time.

I realize you watch the hell out of the Horns. I don’t know that you do everyone else.

Georgia has been ass for most of the year. Unfortunately for Texas, the closest to a complete game they’ve played was a couple of Saturdays ago when they were in Austin.

Minor edit but Mykel Williams is a DL and he absolutely destroyed our OL. 2 sacks but the pressure he got was devastating.

This all arm throw is what I referenced earlier on the drop to Deandre...yes we've stated 100% Deandre should have caught it. Just pointing out this was thrown all arm and that is why it was slightly underthrown.

Yeah it was annoying trying to explain to people that Daniel Jones just fucking sucks and has no pocket awareness and gets himself sacked a bunch. People really wanted to blame that OL.

The funny thing about that play (if your video had gone all the way to the drop) -- Deandre was NEVER more than 3 yards behind the defender, and when he dropped the ball he was 2.5 yards past him.  That's not a terrible throw, and it sure wasn't "5 yards underthrown" as has been said on this thread.  It was (as I said days ago) about 2 feet underthrown.  I don't give a fuck about Quinn's footwork if he's that accurate after 45 yards in the air.

Pardon the old skool Derka screen cap:

You're right, having to slow down and adjust to an underthrown ball is not terrible. Ball still should have been thrown out in front of Moore to run and go get but because of footwork it's underthrown to where Moore has to adjust the way he did.

You should give a fuck about Quinn's footwork because that footwork is why he's not fucking accurate on deep balls(most of which are underthrown) and has been sailing passes on shorter throws.

Eh, that's not a great example of an all arm throw. He threw it from the 36/37. You see him pump fake, re-plant, and then it leaves his hand at 8:40. The ball hits Moore at the 18 at around 8:37. So it travels 46 yards through the air with about 3 seconds of air time. It is underthrown because he puts a lot of air on it.

Here is the exact moment it hits Moore:

Perfect throw? No. But that one didn't appear to be footwork. It appeared to be Quinn not wanting to overthrow it. It still hit Moore with 3 yards between him and the defender.  Moore just did a bad job adjusting to the ball and then dropped it.

the backfoot throw for no reason was the Golden TD pass

Well, he's been perfectly capable of leading his receiver into the end zone (see Alabama last year), so I'm more inclined to think it's a skill he can get better at but isn't at all horrible at in the first place.

Texas fans are pussies.

So you are citing 2 throws in 3 years or starting QB play? Good job!

Yes. I totally agree with that one. It was actually worse than no reason since stepping into to throw would have taken him away from the pressure. Throwing off his back foot actually made the pressure worse.

The problem isn't a backfoot throw here. The problem is his wide base, he repositions after the pump, then throws off his front food like a baseball pitcher using all arm.

As Codaxx has said for someone who has had QB personal training for most of his life he absolutely fucking sucks at footwork on most throws and is sole reliant on his tremendous arm talent. It's just so fucking frustrating to see because when he puts both together he gives us such beautiful throws.
