Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet

Coach pop a bitch

I'm trying to wrap my head around what Ewers has shown that says he's a draftable QB. Like how was he on the Heisman list. He's hurt every few games, he's got to be less than 20% on balls over 20 yards and can't read the middle of the field. Combine that with negative pocket presence and who is taking a chance on that changing at the next level?

Are you blind to the guy on the logo? He would step into this and pick it

Lulz. He's on the other side of the field, and not moving, this isn't EA Sports NCAA where stationary DBs jump across the field in nanoseconds. If the ball is delivered on a rope to the umpire, it's a completed pass.

If everyone knows Arch will be starting next year even if QE tries to come back, Arch should be starting now.

What must be done eventually should be done immediately.

These "plan for the future now" takes are wrong.

if Arch gives us a better chance to win this season, sure. If not, he absolutely should start eventually and not right now.

It should go without saying that it's not all about the QB.

Quinn would have to shuffle his feet and open up to that side of the field you uncoordinated fuck

What the hell is Ewers doing that is better than Arch? Nothing that I can see

He's still better at timing and ball placement on flares and wheels. And I think he's a little better than Arch at the intermediate stuff. But he's significantly worse at deep balls, and more reps won't lead to improvement at this point. He is what he is.

On the other hand, I strongly suspect that Arch's play in the short and intermediate game would improve with starter's reps. Maybe he doesn't full close the gap with Quinn in those areas this year, but I think he'd get close enough that his ability on the deep balls would make our offense more productive on the whole.

quinn is arguably our worst offensive player and we have zero shot of winning anything of import with him as our starting qb. our current situation is an exercise in futility.

he has played some phenomenal games.  he’s capable of it just inconsistent as hell.

doesn’t he have something like three total 300 yard passing games in his career? all while playing with worthy, mitchell, sanders, bijan, brooks, baxter, gunnar, bolden, golden, et al and with sark as his qb coach/oc. he has wildly underperformed with all of the advantages he’s had.

He's such a weird player, and I am struggling to think of the right comparison. The things he does well, he does at an elite level. The things he doesn't do well, he's among the very worst in the game at. Not only is he terrible at those things, he's regressing in some of them.

I'm at the point where I think the bad outweighs the good.

And to make it worse, everything he is bad at is a strength for Arch. Footwork, pocket presence, mobility, toughness, deep ball.

Hits you in the hand you can catch it.

Travis Kelce is noticeably more thicc.

QE would have to throw against his body on the crossing route above, unless they laughably think he would have sat down in a zone.

I have an online Master's.

So your take is that was an acceptable throw and the ball not being completed was on Helm?
