This is just being oblivious. Did you see Quinn's tape for most of the first half? There is a reason Quinn got benched. His 2 drives still outgained all of Quinn's 1st half drives. We have no idea if how he would have looked in the second half or if he prepped like Quinn did as the 1st QB.

I have seen this sentiment a few times now. If arch doesn’t prep like he’s the starter every week then that’s on him, not sark. I doubt sark has super secret meetings with just Quinn and leaves arch out of them. Have you ever played any really competitive team sports that last 12-16 weeks? The offseason is where the real work is done. Practice during the week to prepare for the opponent is mental, it’s watching film and finding weaknesses. Half the team is dealing with some sort of injury that nobody but them knows about. The qb’s wear red jerseys ffs, they don’t go full speed and can’t mimic game speed if they tried. If arch wasn’t ready for Georgia because he didn’t take a snap with the “1’s” then he needs to learn to prepare better.

The mental gymnastics it takes to shift blame over to Arch is hilarious.

That is one of the most fucking retarded things I have read on this site in a long time.

I’m saying he was ready, he was prepared because he’s a manning and because he’s going to be bad ass. He still got his ass handed to him. Georgia was better than we were that night, every facet of the game. Period. Arch running with the 1’s wasn’t going to help his OL block.

Well, playing with the 1s matters.

When Arch tried to beat Georgia to the corner, that was an inexperienced move but not necessarily a huge error. The strip sack wasn’t necessarily him either; however, he’s now running the two minute offense.  That is a huge ask.  For a guy with limited experience overall, who is running the 2 minute offense, in a game we’re losing against the most talented defense we will play all year after not having practiced with the 1s.

Yeah, that’s no difference.  And if you watch again, that was the worst sequence our line had up to that point.

That is not how it works. Say he put a 100% effort into prep as the back-up. He still doesn’t get the reps or attention the 1st string will.  That includes throwing to the 1st recievers.

funny part is he was no worse in his play, than the 3 year starter. He made some mistakes (trying to out run an NFL WR and missed a read). Quinn did also (missed an uncovered WR and took at sack/fumble. Misread the defense and threw an in)

I don’t get to watch longhorn practices I’ll be honest, but I played college football and all of our qb’s threw in a rotation to every wr we had every practice, it was called inside hull. Every db versus every wr in a rotation. I don’t think sark is dumb enough to think Quinn can’t get hurt. Now Once team drills started the 1’s were together but it was a simulation which was 60% speed at best. Nobody wanted to be the asshole that got an all American hurt being a hero. Which goes into my next point, you can’t simulate a really solid 2 minute drill in practice either, it’s just not possible. In the game there’s adrenaline, there’s legit fatigue, there’s crowd noise, errors that weigh on you, and the other team that wants to whip your ass in a way your teammates never do.

If sark isn’t giving arch plenty of attention after having quinn injured every year he’s been here then sark is a dumbass. I think arch gets plenty of good reps in practice and is ready to go at a moments notice. Is that really a retarded take to think our back up qb gets good solid practice reps because our starter is injury prone???
