I’m not even mad at him anymore. He is what he is at this point. Really talented but stupid fucking player.

I’m embarrassed for him.  Wisner has 30 carries.  Sark no longer trusts Quinn apparently.

in other news, dipshit beck threw for three touchdowns last night. No picks

Quinn needed something in this 2nd half that redeemed those errors but it doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen.

In many ways this was a classic Quinn performance. There were some scintillating plays early, and then he seemed to do everything he could possibly do to keep the other team in it in the 2nd half.

He remains a guy that we can win any game with, but it sure doesn’t look like he’ll ever be THE reason for our success.

His pick six and fumble inside the red zones almost cost us the game. Quinn’s performance is not our standard. Does he even know the words to The Eyes of Texas? He’s just moving his mouth like he doesn’t know the words. I’ve never been so disgusted by a Texas QB in such a huge victory. But I’ll take the win, pussy.

Two terrible plays that would have cost most teams the game. But most teams don’t have our D.

That said, even though I continue to think Quinn is a liability, I’m not going to  take away his first half performance. That crowd was out for blood and he never seemed phased by it.

A deeply inconsistent and flawed performance by a deeply inconsistent and flawed player.

2 bad plays all game from 3 kept this from being over in 3 quarters. But he did enough, and those back to back long drives around the pick 6 gassed their defense, who had all the rest of a kickoff in between.

Did cost the team a shutout though.   But our defense and their offense know what happened when they were on the field.

Texas has a Quinn Ewers problem.  It's that simple.
It sucks to have to write that, but he continues to make huge mistakes which turn points and momentum to the opponent.
We know what the solution is..... but Sark will enable him and this team won't reach its potential.

Sit him next week. Say it’s to let him heal. It doesn’t really matter since we are in playoffs. It would be nice to have a bye but second-half Ewers doesn’t stand a chance against UGA. And if Arch beats Georgia, maybe you roll with him moving forward. Go ahead and neg me if you must but Ewers has a busted wheel.

Quinn was balling in this game. He started to have trouble with the added pressure. The receivers weren't really on the same page as him at key points, but he was dealing for most of the game.

Good game overall #3.

You don’t get to just hand waive away two back breaking turnovers inside the red zone. Especially when one of them went to the house. You don’t. That was not a good game.

Period.

You know we haven’t won’t the conference championship yet, right? I know you and Quinn are BFF’s because you have money to light on fire, but that doesn’t mean we get to crown ourselves.

I don't doubt his heart or his guile.  Dude plays hard and he's not a scrub, let's not hate on him.  But, Texas is at the elite level of CFB and to win a playoff style tourney, you need your QB to play nails.  He simply hasn't shown he can play 4 quarters in a game against an upper echelon opponent in forever.  Even tonight..... the first half he was mostly good but it could have been very. tragic.  He should have been picked in the RZ in the first quarter AND on the play to TE that went right through the safeties hands.  Better teams take advantage of those and pick those..... now let's see what that final score would have been?  He simply makes too many mistakes.  Many good plays (although his deep ball is still ridiculously bad), but too many bad ones.

I think it is important to point out that he made a lot of really good plays and I’m pretty sure that most, if not all, of the miscommunications with the receivers were them running the wrong routes. It’s just those two huge mistakes at the wrong place and time.

The pick 6 was not on Wingo. He needed to eat that ball. Plain and simple. 100% on Quinn and nobody else.

He also threw into triple coverage and inexplicably missed that throw to wingo.  Quinn has a cannon and is easy to root for but he’s in his head.

Sorry I’m talking solely about the plays where it looked like the receivers ran the wrong routes, like Bond in the 4th quarter. Quinn definitely hosed the pick six.

I don’t know what’s up with Ewers, but…. I don’t think we’re going to ride Wisner to either an SEC or national championship.  So keep giving Arch some meaningful snaps in practice and in games and be ready to hit the eject button at any time on Ewers.  We’re about to enter a single loss elimination tournament for all the marbles.

Lol,  good point. I may have had too much bourbon tonight. Regardless, we gonna stomp White Trash Bulldog next week. Save your money cause you're gonna wanna bid on the Quinn Ewers signed ball after we take home the trophy.

Playing arch too much will impact Quinn’s confidence. IMO we probably score more than 17 if arch had first team reps and played the full game

If Quinn don’t play well that ball will be worth as much as a Brian downing autograph.  There’s a chance drew all at will be drafted before him

What's even more embarrassing for Quinn, is he had 2 redzone turnovers despite Arch taking a handful of those redzone snaps. (One for a rushing TD, too)

at least they are red zone(sans the return for TD) TO's.  It gives our D a chance to stop the other team.

our ST coach needs to get his shit together.  He should have known Bert was erratic and also gone out and gotten a punter with NIL.

He doesn’t have the “It” factor. He’s a serviceable QB. Nothing more. He’s never going to put a team on his back and win games. Best you can hope for is decent game management and not too many critical fuckups you can’t recover from.

The two turnovers were bad

Were they? One was a strip sack from behind(good defensive play), one was a tip ball but was a bad decision either way. Your opinion of QE has been  made abundantly clear. How was his first half by the way. Up to your standard?

Yea they were both bad. I’m still happy we won.

Back in the Eighties (I think), one year Fred Akers fielded one of the best defenses college football had ever seen. Unfortunately, we had a non-existent offense. Nevertheless, we were leading (I think Georgia) in a bowl game, and had we won it, we were off to the National Championship. Because of that D, we led the entire game and at the very end, all we needed to do was field one fucking punt.

The punt came in way short, and instead of letting it bounce, the stupid motherfucking punt returner dove at it one foot off the ground and couldn't pull it in. Georgia got the ball and twenty yards later won the game.

One player ruined a strong shot at a national championship game for a truly amazing team --- and that is what Quinn Ewers will do if he remains the starter. There's no way he takes us to that game. No fucking way. Manning needs to be starting against GA. We will need QB runs and the pass to beat a really good team. Bench Ewers now, please.
