It's super easy for you to tell me that I don't know what I'm looking at but that doesn't make it true. Literally nobody on here has said they agree with basically anything you are saying about these throws. You're not some well schooled student of the game. You're just a stan.

Your posts lack reason and theoretical football situational awareness. If you say the first throw should've been thrown over the other shoulder upfield because of DB positioning, which is true, then you should come to the same conclusion about the OT throw. But you cannot and that's why I question your eyes. The OT throw you are basing purely on how the receiver reacted vs what he should've read based on where the DB was.

Makes idiotic statement about all time QBs then converts to huehuehue since 1970.....same as aggies saying well since they stopped being military school.....such a braindead argument.

1970 up to current day may as well be all time. Nobody before the forward pass is someone I’d pay to watch. If I want to watch some 5’8 165 pound white kids play, I’d take a day trip to Giddings.

or take TOEFL.

Are you arguing with yourself? I said the first throw should've been over the opposite shoulder and the second throw was but the receiver looked inside. No one is arguing with you on the gif play. Geezus.

I don't give a shit about the shoulder nearly as much as I care about the accuracy of the ball. Receivers can adjust to catch over either shoulder if the timing and trajectory are right. But when the accuracy is that far off it doesn't make a shit. Both throws were highly inaccurate such that the the shoulder didn't matter. Both throws needed to be thrown more up the field, and Quinn came up short both times.

Are you ever going to post the throw in OT or are you just going to keep posting shitty takes?

No, it’s because you are shit talking easily a top 3 QB we have ever had here because he isn’t reaching your video game stats. Calling current players pussies when the site is actively trying to build a relationship with the team, players and athletic department is the other.

People like you constantly blowing smoke up Quinn’s ass is part of the reason why he never seems to get better. The fans and everyone are always telling Quinn how great he is and what a Texas legend he is while blaming everyone else for offensive miscues. This gives Quinn no incentive to get better if everyone is constantly telling you how great you are and buying all your NIL shit that is being blasted from your social media on a daily basis.

Get that money Quinn because it may not be as lucrative for him in the NFL, but shit, play some better football and score more touchdowns as THE QB for The University of Texas if you’re going to be putting your name and face on a shitload of products.

When Quinn did that Dick’s commercial with Simone Biles, Dak Prescott, and Chris Paul, I was nearly clutching my pearls thinking that if we don’t win the CFP this year, Simone Biles and her gold medal just did a commercial with the biggest sports non-championship winners in the state of Texas.

I’m not so sure about that.  We were in the playoff regardless of today’s outcome.  It’s win or go home from here on out, and while it certainly has felt Sark passed on many an opportunity to make a change this season, I think underperformance in a playoff game might just be the impetus

I would bet real money that sark doesn’t move on. We are wanting a championship now, but he is working on managing a locker room. I don’t blame him.

Not all of them, just 2 out of 3. Both the batted ball INT and fumble from Quinn inside the aggy 15 is still pretty shitty and resulted in 0 points.

Batted balls aren't on QBs unless he is rolling out and a free rusher is in his face. Young inexperienced linemen make for batted balls, not understanding to keep engaged on a DL so they can't jump and bat balls. Notice who the batted balls happen against. Williams almost always and our freshman LT tonite. Do you remember any other linemen this season having the man across from them bat balls?

Arch might get more plays, but anyone expecting a true QB change now hasn't been paying attention.

The context is the modern era. 4th best I’ll go Ehlinger but it’s a gigantic dropoff

Oh ok so all time means modern era lol. Got it. Quinn is the best Qb of the modern era which started with the opening of transfers

What exactly is the drop off? Quinn’s passing stats aren’t appreciably better despite better coaching and surrounding talent. Why do you always do this thing where you say something insane and then start moving goalposts?

Crazy to think this game was lost when Beck got injured.

Or when we didn't recover a single fumble.

Or when Malik Agbo false started and wiped out a FG.

Or when we were completely unprepared for the fake punt.

Or when Quinn took a horrible sack that wiped out a second FG.

Or... should I keep going?

The truth is that Quinn makes tons of jaw-dropping throws:  those that make you say " holy shit how did he fit that in there?" and those that make you say "what the fuck was he thinking?".

Both are true.  More natural talent than most guys we've had on campus, and very pedestrian game-processing abilities.  So, you take the bad with the good or you move on.  Sark has chosen the former.  Next year is almost surely a non-issue, I cannot imagine a scenario where even a returning Quinn wouldn't be in a fight for his life as starting QB, and I doubt he would win it over Arch, simply because it's time to move on.

That's what I think people get so frustrated about. At times, Quinn really looks the part of a Heisman QB. Other times he doesn't.

He just has limitations. He still has done a lot for this program,, which deserves respect.

Your whole argument started all time....youg ot called out because you're a dumb mother fucker so then you arbitrarily switched it to 1970 just so Street who last played in 1969 couldn't be referenced. Fucking dipshit.

Quinn is a very good QB, you can see why he was a five star.

But yeah he isn't going to be an All-American Heisman Trophy winning kind of guy. Unfortunately.

Maybe Manning will.

DB as inside and on top of the play. He threw it outside away from the DB. A good receiver would see where the DB is positioned and expect the ball to be to that side.

What the fuck am I reading? Moore had a step on the DB and a throw to the front pylon would have had a chance for a TD with no chance of a DB getting there.

Quinn is who he is at this point.  Could we have won with how he played tonight? Sure, but Bert also sucked, Sark's 2nd half play calling sucked, and we gave up an idiotic fake punt. Tons of blame to go around.

Yeah, I've said it many times in this thread but Sark's decision in Georgia1 made this bed.

He's sleeping in it now and that's not going to change for better or worse.

That Sark didn't have the vision to play Arch more in short yardage was.. suboptimal.

But... that all belongs in the other thread.

I'm on the hopium high with the Quinn lovers at this point, but I'm under no illusions about the reality that I'm doing drugs.

Ehlinger's JR year was better than anything Ewers has ever done here.

It's wild there are some people that think Ehlinger was bad and Ewers is good.

I think Ehlinger was bad. That obviously being a relative term as none of these guys are truly bad (that’s reserved for someone like squints).
I think Ehlinger was certainly more productive than Quinn and would have done way more than Quinn with this level of talent around him.

Alright, I cooled down. I was spitting facts, but I’m willing to accept reality. We have what we have and nothing will change. I’ll be praying for some strategic losses in the playoff. I don’t think we’re beating an Oregon or a Georgia. Or any team who can run down a screen pass consistently. Even a team like Clemson could probably get after us with their front.

What exactly does it matter where he ranks in the all time list anyway? Even if you want to caveat it and talk about the modern era, Quinn is third at best and he's not even in the same neighborhood as Colt. He's good. He just hasn't been good enough. Ehlinger was good. Simms was good. James Brown was good. Major was good. But none of them were good enough. Same as Quinn.

I don't know where "modern era" starts, but James Brown could play.  Even Shane B could make you do a double take.  Surrounding casts probably hurt those guys more than a bit.

Brown had a memorable moment where he lifted up his team to do something that Quinn Ewers could never do.

OFEI Ehlinger's JR year: #9

OFEI in 2 years under Ewers: #18 and #19.

We would kill for that JR year Ehlinger. He was pretty damn good his SR year too. I just find the entire Ewers and Ehlinger discussion to be wild. They have a very distorted opinion of both QBs. I certainly wouldn't rank Ewers ahead of Ehlinger although he will accomplish more as a team just because his team is 10X more talented.

I'll take Sam any day of the week over dork ass Quinn. He was last on the depth chart at Ohio State for a reason. Sam played for a terrible coach and not near the offensive talent Quinn has, yet he led his team to a Big 12 title birth and beat down Georgia. He had balls, would run through a wall for his team and scrappy as fuck. Sam and Tebow were one in the same, except Tebow played for a great coach and one of the more stacked teams we have seen in college. You had to account for Sam running.

Sam wins today's game and it isn't even close.

Quinn is so fucking soft when it matters most.
