Bwhahaha.... a slot fade is supposed to be thrown a few yards from the sideline allowing the receiver to run away from the DB. It is not supposed to be vertical. It is also supposed to be thrown on the break. Even the Manning throw you are jerking off to was a few yards from the sideline.

So why did Arch throw a touchdown on this play and not throw to the sideline but Quinn throws a shitty incompletion?

Well, you're wrong then. They both fucked up.

Arch made a better throw and Cook ran his route 5 yards closer to the sideline.

You’re a fucking moron. We literally have this concept from earlier in the season that results in a touchdown. Know what the difference was? Placement of the throw

How do you not see that the receivers are in completely different places? Do you not see how far inside Moore is? Why do you have to be an ass about everything?

Anyway, I'll just going back to ignoring your dumb ass.

They’re in completely different places toward the end because of the fucking shitty throw that Moore tries to adjust to.

There was a play earlier in the season, maybe against Georgia 1, that seemed to be the exact same route, and EXACT same outcome, except with Ryan Wingo running it. I remember getting pissed that it wasn't a TD, but Wingo had the exact same reaction, turned inside for the ball, and wound up craning his head back to try and Willie Mays it, but ultimately just couldn't get to the spot where Quinn put it. IDK who's at fault, but I just thought I'd throw in that Moore isn't the only receiver to have trouble with this route, thrown by this QB, this year.

Edit: different route. Was against OU. Wingo was outside receiver, breaks open in the 3rd quarter, 8:25 left, Quinn puts it towards the sideline/corner when Wingo is looking inside on a stutter-stepped fade route. Could not reach that corner and tried to adjust the same way Moore did.

Vanderbilt too.

Moore was never going to be where Cook or the Bama receiver was. Never. He was running a different route. You refuse to say that because you CANNOT allow Ewers any breathing room because of your hate for him.

My guy,

Here is where you said the throw should be to Moore

Here is the same spot on the Arch throw.  Moore is way farther inside. He is in a different spot because he ran the route differently.

If Ewers had thrown the ball better Moore would have started his route differently. Duh.

Yeah not with that shitty throw. If that throw is vertical up field just like Cooks or the video you posted it’s an easy touchdown because Moore is behind the DB.

No, that it was a bad throw

Moore beat his man on the slot fade the ball has to be upfield. You don’t continue carrying the route when you beat your man on the slot fade. You expect the throw to be upfield where you can go make a play on the ball or it’s under thrown upfield you can draw PI. Not under thrown and way outside where you have to completely change your route to even attempt to catch.

If Ewers threw the same type of pass he threw to Blue against aggy it's a TD. He actually stepped into that throw, instead of a backfooted weak ass floater. He is so fucking lazy with the footwork so often.

Are you able to admit that if Moore just turns to his outside it is a fairly easy adjustment to catch the ball? I don't understand why this has to be militantly anti-Quinn. Receiver and QB weren't on the same page. If either of them acts slightly differently, it is probably a TD. I said it wasn't a great throw, but acting like it was the worst throw of all time is fucking insane. That one play is probably a good illustration of the game generally. A subtle change here or there and we win.

It’s not a corner, it’s a fade.

The moment you admitted that you actually didn't know that the red zone was, you lost any shred of credibility you had with me in regards to football. Need a bigger shovel for the hole you are so anxiously digging?

Because the ball is thrown in the exact spot where you said it was a shitty throw but easily caught. Why are you still avoiding addressing it? If the QB sees the DB in phase at the break where should he throw it? And why was this one successful and that one not?

Can you really not tell the difference between those two throws?

A fade is thrown to a spot on the break. That spot is somewhere within a few yards of the sideline. In both successful videos the ball is along the sideline. That is not what Moore was doing. If Moore is headed anywhere near the sideline the ball location in all three throws is in play. You cannot and will not admit that and everyone here sees you for who you are. As well as the other guys who refuse to address the Bama vid and why it was successful honestly. Notice its always the same dudes.

Yes, it is fade. Moore is supposed to be 5 yards inside of where he was. He isn't supposed to be running to a spot between the I and A, he is supposed to end up closer to the sideline. He is supposed to be prepared for the ball to come to his outside shoulder (you know, because it is fade). Quinn needs to throw it farther up field, Moore needs to get farther outside. Y'all literally have a video of the exact same play by Arch and the route is way closer to the sideline than where Moore ended up.

Yea Moore should be farther inside. The issue with that throw isn’t the inside outside part, it’s that the throw should lead him upfield not make him try to turn back for the ball. It’s a lofted throw short of where it should be. It’s a terrible throw, plain as.

A ball that is much easier to catch because it isn’t lofted short. You guys are caught up with the inside outside, that wasn’t the problem. The throw was 5 yards short

Right, both are at fault. People can’t seem to get over picking one or the other.

I agree. The throw needs to lead him up field. I said that 1,000 times already. But, even where Quinn placed it, if Moore is where is supposed to be, he has a shot at catching that.

This isn't about defending the throw. It is about illustrating a greater point: the misses we had weren't all on Quinn. Other players need to step up too. If Quinn throws it better (still not between the I and A), Moore has a shot at a TD. If Moore runs the route correctly, Moore has a shot at TD. If both things happen. It is an easy TD. For some reason, some people want to lay EVERYTHING on Quinn. It is fucking stupid.

That’s false. We’ve seen Quinn make this throw 3 times this year and no receiver caught them.

The ball isn't that short and if Moore is carrying his route to the sideline like Cook of the Bama receiver did it's an easy catch. Even if he threw it deeper its a straight over top of his helmet circus catch because of where Moore was running.

The ball is a touchdown if he leads Moore upfield. You keep mentioning the sideline but even then on the throw to them the ball was thrown up field from where receiver is in relation to sideline so they could go make a play. The way this was thrown gave him almost no shot to make a play.

I keep mentioning the sideline because that's where the ball should go and the throw location is determined by what the QB sees as far as DB positioning goes. Moore ran a shitty route and failed to adjust to the ball at all. Every week QBs are throwing 50/50 balls, back shoulder balls, underthrown balls that receivers come back to. Receivers, decent ones, go make a play on those balls on a weekly basis. If this is Golden we aren't here talking about this play. The ball wasn't perfect but if Moore is where he is supposed to be its catchable.

It’s a really hard catch even if the route is run properly. It brings the DB back into the play potentially and is still way short.

There was no defender above Moore on that route....the only defender on that route is the one Moore ran past and beat

After due consideration, it is apparent that the real problem here is that Moore is approximately a foot and a half too short. A 7'6" receiver would easily catch that ball.

Concomitantly, the entire argument shows that we can all agree that there are a whole lot of fucking morons on this site, and in this forum, and in this thread.

Unfortunately, we don't seem to be able to agree on just who the morons are. That discussion should be carried on in a new thread, and not limited to a thread concerning a specific player, corch, or position. If there is already such a thread, than I stand corrected, and would appreciate it if one of you morons would be so good as to post a link to it.

ChatGPT, why would people who claim to be fans of a team make anonymous posts that insult the key players during one of the best seasons in years?

A Need for Fulfillment

Criticizing players online can be a symptom of deeper dissatisfaction. Whether it’s frustration with their own unfulfilled aspirations or a general unhappiness with life, some people project their inner discontent onto others. Their harsh words may reflect more about what’s missing in their own lives—purpose, achievement, or joy—than about the performance of the player they attack.

At this point right here defender is beat and Quinn still has ball in his hand

image.png.73da215dfd432cb35950aaecab20011b.png

Moore is at least and arms length behind the defender.

image.png.069bcf1c50812702e724f0445fe0c8a0.png

If this ball is thrown more upfield andnot to outside the A as previously pointed out Moore runs underneath the throw for a TD. Instead Quinn rushes a throw to a predetermined spot when he is facing absolutely no pressure.
