Quinn's greatest asset is his accuracy in the short game. He throws screens and swing passes better than Arch based on what we saw in 2 games. Quinn puts a very high percentage on that front shoulder. Slants and crossers can be argued. . His mid-range game had been very good up until this year. It has been much more inconsistent. Deep ball is an issue.

Good thing Clemson wont just sit on short routes and dare quinn to beat em deep…..

Yeah, Moore's score  was a 4-yard pass and a 38-yard run.
I watched it and then scrolled on over  to OT and rewatched that. I was pretty stoked to see Arch put up that 5 yards on 1st down. I was ummmmm disturbed to see him pulled right back to the sidelines. Why? What better time to let 'em hang? Then, after 1st... here comes Arch, right? Wrong. Another trip to the Red Zone, another FG.
I know, we're playing the long game - the CCG means jack shit, we'll save it for the CFP that we already know we're in...

Yall people think Sark is saving something kill me. All year, it’s been saving for Ou, saving for uga, saving for aggy, saving for the champ game, saving for the playoff.

At this point, I’ll believe it when I see it.

Your definition of “stride” must include throwing the ball behind the receiver or having them slow down to catch the pass. Quinn does it constantly and it disrupts the routes. Look at this ball he threw in practice. Just fucking hit a guy and don’t make him change direction or turn back for the ball and they’re more likely to be headed all the way to the end zone. It drives me crazy how he has so much arm talent and still can’t put the ball in front of a receiver in stride.

LOL wut?  It's literally something he does better than 99% of college QBs.  Arch can't come close.  Deep ball?  Yup, much better.  Short screens, etc.?  Nope.

Cherry picking a bad throw in practice doesn't negate dozens and dozens of perfectly thrown (and difficult) throws in live fire.  For fuck's sake, some of you are a real beating.

All I’m saying is we need more of this from Quinn which is money and in stride creating a big gain.

And less of this Quinn throwing behind the receiver which messes up the stride and makes it harder to evade defenders.

We didn’t see an “Arch Package” in any game that Quinn started and finished until the Aggy game. It’s reasonable to believe we’ll see some expansion of that in what is hopefully an extended post season.

Used to think Mack and Greg saved stuff for ou. Instead , we copied their plays after they beat us

Arch touched the ball one time the following week vs. Georgia in OT, and it seems pretty clear Sark just wanted to get positive rushing yardage on 1st down and considered Arch the best option.

Kind of funny he got 1 touch vs Georgia when just the week prior Sark said he wanted to use him more. lol

I don't believe he's saving any secret plays. I don't understand the point of using Manning for nothing but a quick five yards running. Or a fake to make the oppo burn a timeout. Maybe it's just showing errybody including future recruits/xfers his loyalty to a player and attempting to get him to the NFL and the bigger payday - and I think that's pretty much a Good Thing™, just not at the expense of the team winning.

Sark doesn't want to get his QB hurt running the football because there is a very real chance he may need him. Seems pretty straight forward to me. Especially when your starting QB is already limping around with an ankle.

Starting QB needs to quit being a pussy and learn to put a team on his fucking back. Nah, that's too much to ask for....Sark has to scheme up perfect plays and calls for him because he can't do anything outside of structure.

I know right? A good quarterback should be able to beat Georgia without ever running the football. Next year Arch is gonna throw for 450 on Georgia even if we have 31 yards rushing and convert every 3rd down no matter the down and distance.

A good QB can take over a game regardless...because a good QB, especially one of Quinn's alleged stature, should be able to elevate the talent around him.....

Nobody has suggested Arch should run it again and again. The fact is, last two games, Arch came in for one play, and ran it. 2nd and 5 is good. Why take him right back out?

Apparently Sarkisian sees something in Ewers that Arch can't do. As in, he believes that Quinn gives us a better chance to win for that reason. I don't know what that reason is or likely would be - do you?

I mean, Blue juked a guy out of his scholarship in the first one. That’s where the big gain came from.

Elevating a team is different than “taking over a game” regardless of the rest of the teams performance. Try again.

Colt and Sam took over games thus elevating their teams. Quinn has not

”take over”

“elevate”

it all equates to the QB stepping the fuck up. Something Quinn has not done outside of Michigan.

Imagine thing Quinn has never taken over a game. What championship game has Colt ever taken over?

He was cooking the fuck out of Bama before injury. He cooked the fuck out of Ohio state in a BCS bowl. He took over multiple games. Arguing otherwise about Colt is fucking retarded.

2009 Colt is best example of how Quinn should be regarding team management especially considering the lack of run games both teams had.

Colt McCoy is one of the winningest QBs in college football history. He is in the top 5% of college football QBs all time. Let’s compare the top 5 QBs in this draft class to VYs “taking over game” ability next. Again, most good QBs are not capable of taking over games regardless of other team factors.

Sorry Quinn is a 1.000 5 star Qb just like Vince and should be judged to the Colt, and other Texas legends standard. After all that is the category yall try and put him in. He should be able to take over games with this alleged arm we’ve heard all about. I guess it’s too much to ask of Quinn to not be a giant pussy and actually play with fight and tenacity instead of looking like a defeated loser on the sidelines.

Jaxon Dart and Jalen Milroe threw and ran all over Georgia.

Hayes fucking King threw for 300+ AND ran for 100+ on them.

Georgia isn't unstoppable on defense, they just play a certain way. Even Quinn gimped a 40 yard scramble on them.

That was not really what was called for, so I don’t get this argument. A QB taking over  a game would imply winning in a shootout or having multiple 4Q TD drives. That is not the same as needing 17 over the course of a game.

Colt went out of the Bama game before a point was even scored. You can't claim "cooking the fuck out of" on that one. Colt was 3-1 vs OU. Had a fantastic game vs Ohio State in the Fiesta. Got knocked out of NC game in the 1st qtr. Had a rough game in the Big12 championship game.

Dart threw for 199 1td and 1int and ran for 50. Not exactly lighting it up. Their defense turned them over 3 times, got 5 sacks, and held them to 10. We hold Georgia to 10 and we have a new piece of hardware. Milroe is it.

If everyone does their job except the guy who handles the ball every offensive snap we have a new piece of hardware, got it. Good point!
