Ohio State started the war. They were the aggressor. Why is that so hard for you to admit? Do you own a suit?

two of those TDs came in OT because bert missed a chip shot FG that would have won us the game. Quinn was pretty terrible during regulation and if Texas doesn’t have a pumpkin pie haircutted freak for a kicker then QE’s statistical day vs ASU sucks.

You don't understand. If Ricky Williams doesn't rush for 6,000 of his career yards, his statistical career at Texas sucks. DEBATE ME LIKE A MAN MOTHERFUCKER

remind me again which one of us is unstable and spazzes out every time someone else has a differing opinion?

me: ”you can’t play football with a torn oblique.”

you: “GO FUCK YOURSELF YOU FAT, 50-SOMETHING, NEVER HAS BEEN PIECE OF SHIT.”

also you: “you guys derka is mentally ill and unstable and he ruins this board for everyone.”

lulz

also, helpful tip, if you’re genuinely interested in news on quinn ewers there’s this brand new app called twitter, you should really check it out.

What news? All that's in that site is propoganda from PR firms.

Jesus, Quinn got us into TWO makeable fg attempts before overtime.  He can’t make the kicks himself.  Now,  listen to Jazz man, respect the objective QB ratings, get outta here.   Any idiot can point at important plays in that game.  After the first ASU fg, every single play was crucial to the game outcome.  We won.

The defense reached its ceiling. It’s hard to say the offense came close to its ceiling. Special teams didnt play to expectations..

QB limitations, poor line play, and 3rd stringers at RB. Play or 2 away from beating the obviously better team in the Semis seems about right as far as ceiling.

You are using the team record to try and deflect from the offensive performance. We are going to watch a lot of offensive Longhorns drafted and they finished 18th in FEI. That is not the ceiling. There is no way you can objectively say the talent on offense was 18th best in the country

how do? there’s nothing controversial or inaccurate about what i said. QE played poorly for four quarters vs asu, and if our idiot kicker doesn’t miss a chip shot FG then quinn doesn’t get those last two TDs which game in drives where the ball started on the opposing 25 yard line. what about that is “rationalization”? it’s just facts.

Quinn was 2/3 for 77 yards and a touchdown in the first quarter.

Sam Ehlinger would have won a national title with this roster. Shane probably would have gotten it done too.

Sam and Shane had the top talent in the big 12 every time they trotted out on the field and won how many conference titles?

it never ceases to amaze me how a contained workout in shorts and a t shirt means more to nfl franchises than a player’s career body of work, for better or worse. quinn ewers is that asshole serial philanderer who every hot chick thinks she can “fix”. no matter how many times he’s shown you who he is, you just can’t get over what you imagine he could be.

Ewers draft stock rises, a handful of Surly posters hardest hit.

Quinn was maddeningly unpredictable and erratic.

i found him to be very predictable, as well as erratic. his best play would come early in the game during the scripted portion of our game plan, then as they game went on QE would become predictably less efficient, our offense would struggle to move the chains, QE would self sack, miss wide open wr’s, and then once a quarter he’d make one of those elite nfl throws that keep tantalizing people into thinking he might could become a consistently great qb. but outside of the opening script we could count on QE struggling to move the chains, making errant throws due to his fear of getting hit and horrible footwork, and we’d have to rely on the defense to do the heavy lifting to win the game. repeat ad nauseam. nothing really unpredictable about it.

It is hard to argue with BO&W and Derka in terms of building out an NFL roster tho. Or judging talent in general. Or deciding whether a chicken nugget that dropped on the floor has been there too long.

They’ve earned that respect

lol, the only people who take any of this to heart are you QE cultists who lose you ever loving minds any time someone says something critical about our objectively mid QB who held back two of the best teams we’ve had in 15 years. it’s like me with rick barnes, except that instead of the object of your obsession being a future hall of fame coach who’s been awesome everywhere he’s been, you’re stanning for a college aged millionaire whose reliably subpar play kept Texas from winning back to back titles. cool choice. 👌🏼

No shit. Cunty fucks will be cunty fucks for eternity

let me get this straight: anyone with a differing opinion from you is a cunty fuck? how so? i mean enlighten me. your QE cultist faction are the only people in here being belligerent, insulting, and cursing people out, all because they disagree with you about how good of a qb quinn ewers is. it’s amazing how you guys will do this for pages on end and then swear that anybody but you is the one being “a cunty fuck”. i didn’t see you all up in arms when i hit called a fat fucking fifty something loser because of my opinion. you didn’t think that was a bit cunty? you guys can dish it all day but you implode every time you see a differing opinion. that’s weak sauce man.

You really need help.  Your read on the room is so far off, it's sad.  Go get the help.

@Derka, there are no QE cultists. There are QE pragmatists. There are Anti-QE cultists. I know lots of them.  The anti-Quinn thing is an absolute cult. I just cheer for the guy and judge him in relation to every other Texas QB and every other NFL prospect. He’s a dude. And I’m glad he was our QB.

lol, i can read the room just fine, this is about as easy of a room to read as there’s ever been. y’all want this to be a safe space for people who blindly support/never criticize quinn ewers, and i frankly don’t care that that’s what you want, because that’s antithetical to what surly is all about. shaggy and surly were founded explicitly to get away from that type of football forum. you don’t like it you can put me on ignore or go back to hornfans. the room can be mad at me all y’all want, i’m still allowed to disagree with you, no matter how many of you implode and cuss me out for it.

@Derka Take a deep breath. You’re backsliding and it won’t end well.

can you guys just calm down with this type of talk? seriously, take a look around. i’m not cussing people out or being combative and starting shit with other people, i’m responding to the people who are in fact doing those things, and i’m perfectly fine with continuing to debate and discuss this topic with all of them. all of this talk about my mental health, all of the personal insults, it’s all coming from “the room”. if you see me starting to explode and rage on people, then fine, give me this advice. but until that happens, let’s stop with the armchair psychoanalysis and let people post what they want to.
