I would say the biggest warning sign with QE is that he didn't really improve that much in the time he was here. He became a little more consistent after his first year here, but continued to make a lot of the same mistakes all the way to the end. He was a pretty good, not great college QB on a team with a fuckton  of offensive talent. I'd be pissed if my team drafted QE only because I think we saw the best of what he is capable of already, and it isn't NFL caliber play or leadership. History is littered with those types of guys that had to figure out something else to do with their lives after school. At least todays NIL landscape means he got a shot at making a few million already.

This isn’t complicated. Teams understandably question if he has the physical or mental traits to play QB in the NFL.

But I can't do quantum physics maths and Occams Razor is too sharp for my regarded brain.

So we had back-to-back playoff runs with a dude who was drafted after Graham Mertz (if he gets drafted at all). Can’t imagine how hard we will dominate with Arch.

You neglected the reality that he never made it through a full season without injury. Tack that on top of a lack of career growth and  multiple extremely painful big game moments... doesn't make for a great story.

Quinn did a lot for us and brought us back.

Eh I’d think it was more the 25ish other nfl draft picks.

Yeah, we get it. We’ve been talking about it ad nauseum, as you can see.

Give it a fucking rest and move on.

This thread needs to die.

No. This scrub literally wasted a natty caliber defense.

And some of us started pointing the problem during the OUSUX game noting that Georgia 1 was the time when the move should have been made if not OUSux when it was clear he wasn't playing great.

Then got shit on for the rest of the season.

Once he was pulled from Georgia game he should have never seen the field again. Sark was too loyal.

No one should really be surprised by his fall. He wasn't good here, he played on teams with 30+ NFL players and was never consistently great. Sarkisian's offense was able to cover for a lot of his bad traits with easy throws to athletes in space. Think about it, he had 4 of the fastest WRs to time in the last 2 years and never had a season close to what Mac Jones had at Alabama.

The issue with this logic is where could he have gone that was nearly as QB friendly as what Texas had? He had multiple draft picks in every position and still struggled, whether due to injury or not.

I hope he has a long career as a backup, but he was never going to live up to his billing. Still brought us back to the big leagues, so love him for that, but it’s the truth.

He was ridiculously hyped and that created some crazy expectations. He made it cool for talented players to come to Texas at every position. I doubt Banks comes without Quinn. I don’t think he was a bad teammate or dickhead, but he seemed to be made of glass.

Kelvin Banks is from Humble and was originally committed to Oregon. He came here after Mario Cristobal split to Miami. It’s a stretch to say he chose Texas because of Quinn.

NFL front offices validating those of us who thought Sark should have pulled the cord on Quinn after the Georgia debacle…I don’t think he ever really elevated the talent here, although he’s a great personal representation of the program. Will always wonder “what-if” with Arch getting snaps during a soft stretch of the schedule leading into the CFP.

I think most people, even Ewers supporters, think he’d be a quality backup at best. I don’t see anyone thinking he’ll be playing significantly.

Oh fuck, behind Tua???? Jk this dude’s playing 10 games year one.

Congratulations to Quinn!!!!  Miami with McDaniel is actually a good spot for him.  Allows him to play a timing based, get the ball out quick, spread offense.  I wish him only great things!  LFG, QE!!!!  Be great!

He would have made more in NIL than what he is going to make as an UDFA. I think that's the point she is making.

Good spot for him. Cerebral offense minded coach and Zach Wilson is the only other QB currently on the roster

Edit…surely everyone knows I meant “only” other than Tua

Eh. Coulda been worse. Dude just gets hurt too easily and when he's banged up he isn't the same. That's why he fell.

I'm sure Tua will be dinged sooner than later and we can see him underthrow Tyreek.
