Has there ever been a single game of film more damaging to an NFL prospect than that first Georgia game? Dropped 6 rounds in a half?

He was never going to go 1st round.  3rd max.  his measurables just aren't there, regardless of what the hype was at the time.  I think his injury history and overall body of work(not just Georgia), dropped him.

Tyler Shough got drafted in the 2nd so injury history seems to be a laughable reason to me.  Quinn was the last QB drafted.  That doesn’t make a hell of a lot of sense to me.

On the bright side, he didn’t get drafted to the browns.

well yes, his collarbone should be a concern but he is als 6' 5" 230 with a strong arm.  he also ran a 4.6.  quinn's oblique is another story. if quinn were 6'5" 230 with a strong arm and had taken us to semi's back to back he'd be at least 2nd rounder even with the injury history.

and I said the injury history dropped him along with the pocket/footwork.  injury with the oblique is just a part of it.

Probably true, but the analysts types certainly didn’t know it until that game, and it entirely changed the narrative

yes the analysts had him overrated because they don't watch him as much as we do. IMO, the analysts don't take the value of mobility into account enough yet.  If you aren't really mobile you better have a hose.

I did figure someone would take him in the late 5th or 6th.  He's got a real tough road ahead of him but maybe he can be this years brock purdy.

this was a crazy trip down memory lane.  the misses are everywhere.

this is from 2023, meaning that this post was not only claiming that QE would be a first round pick in the *2024* draft, but that he was also a special talent who was ahead of the likes of michael penix, no nix, and jayden daniels:

banks did in fact nip quinn when it came to which one got drafted first, but it was only by 222 spots. there was also like 20 other guys from that team who got drafted ahead of quinn, but good call.
