What is messed up is that NFL scouts and GM's will pick it apart and interpret it as he's not competitive or doesn't love the game because too many JaMarcus Russell and Kerry Collins' have happened.

That's ok. That would just allow him to drop past the shittiest teams who always have the top picks.

NFL GMs love a neutral attitude because it helps control brand narrative without having to navigate around the QB’s emotion on public display.

When a guy gets pumped up about a huge win, it’s also very obvious when he’s upset about a loss. This kind of emotional reaction creates stories for all the sportswriting vultures to speculate.

If the team leader doesn’t give much emotion to the public, it allows the team to publicly control what is perceived to be going on within the organization.

Damn... that was a lot. Bad example. I'll own it.

He wasn't very good, but he played for 16 years and started a lot of games. He doesn't deserve being compared to Jamarcus who is one of the worst QBs in NFL history.

So hot take time

(1) Quinn could shut it down now and he would be drafted 1.1 in the 2024 draft and then when he got to the nfl he would be an elite qb.

(2) He will never lose a game at Texas

(3) When we run the table this year, our only losses will be to bama by 1 with our back up qb, and to tech in ot with our backup qb. And we’ll make the playoffs, where we will continue to dominate, see pt#2

(4) We will look back and see a ton of nfl talent in this team similar to 2005: ewers, bijon, roschon, banks, xavier, sanders, and overshown will all be studs; making rosters will be full of dudes like coburn, collins, sweat, Jones, cook, watts, Jamison, jwhitt, etc

Wow, this has escalated quickly.  I mean I’m on the train and everything, but let’s beat a team with a pulse first. Next three games could be a run that sets the course for years to come.  Send a message Horns.

Quinn isn't an accident. His parents saw his potential early and went to find him some professional training. They landed at the same place Mahommes trained at, thus Quinn's interest in Tech. Imagine practicing with one of the best QBs in the NFL. All the arm angles and throws, and you are standing there waiting your turn as an impressionable 14yr old or whatever age he was when he started there. So all the training he received and the mentors he had in his ear has lead to this.

He’s gonna need a bigger piggy bank!

on the third quarter pick where he threw the duck, i caught on sark's rewind show that he said they thought the ball hit the damn skycam wire and that helped knock it down.
did anyone in the stadium notice that?

It didn’t. It was a duck when it left his hands. It just slipped. I bet the next one goes to row 25.

100%. Neither Colt or VY were this good at this point in their collegiate careers.

identify the players:

38/58-6ptd-1int-1rtd; team score 115v38

36/61-6ptd-2int-0rtd; team score 122v33

Sam is probably the best player at this stage that we've had at QB (true soph instead of RsFr although Quinn is a little younger, correct?). Quinn doesn't have the legs but he has much better arm talent.

But you'd expect Quinn to get better and not plateau like Sam did here (for multiple reasons).
