lol... that's your excuse?? His team lost?? You should watch the games maybe.

At the end of the day winning is winning and it is all that matters.  I watched Dart struggle with a bad OU team at home, but I’m sure he’ll beat Georgia this weekend…

Gunnar Helm. Notorious pussy and pussy sympathizer.

Sark was clearly talking about Quinn when referencing the 3 point shooter and home run hitter in the press conference today. Let’s hope he’s right and Quinn can get his mojo back.

Why would Gunnar talk shit about his QB. This isn't some "gotcha".

I went to SMU with a guy that played in HS with Jerrod Heard. Dude told me that Heard was the fucking truth and was going to be awesome at Texas.

Helm isn't on the team to make coaching decisions or personnel evaluations.

Also - you don't get protected all the time. Early season SMU was having issues protecting Preston Stone but a huge part of the issue was his inability to make plays from a collapsed pocket. Or - at the very least - not suffer negative plays under pressure. We lost to BYU at home - made Kevin Jennings the full time starter and haven't looked back.

Quinn is a better player than Preston Stone but it's the same principle. You make a decision at QB while factoring in the pass-protection.

I think we're better off with QE down the stretch than Arch but at the same time I'm seriously ready to move on from this guy. He isn't a difference maker at the level we are playing at.

He’s saying they need to protect better. It’s literally right there.

He's making excuses for his QB and I'm the one telling you that part of the problem with Quinn is that he needs a clean pocket.

Maybe read my post again.

I watched the BYU/SMU game and the pony line was shit fried over awful.

Thank you that's why I made the comment.

Shit fried over awful is putting it nicely for Texas against Georgia in that first half.

Helm is confirming Quinn is not confident because he doesn’t have good protection and that’s the reason why he’s not making his throws. This is unacceptable for a 3 year starter.

The quarterback for The Texas Longhorns Football Team needs to be a confident motherfucker 24/7 regardless of how good the team is.

I think every qb on the planet plays better/more confident when their OL is playing better, actually.

The 3 superbowls Tom Brady lost…he was harassed all day and looked like a different version of himself. Fun fact lol. Even funnier, first points of Super Bowl 46 happened to be a safety by Brady. He was being a real pussy and scared for his life threw a pass to no one while standing in his own end zone. What a bitch right?

Was he worse in those games than when he led his offense to a whopping 13 points in each Super Bowl victory over the Rams?

Super Bowl vs Eagles(41-33 L) - Led them on a 10 play 75 yard touchdown with 9:17 remaining, defense blew the game.

Super Bowl vs Giants 2(21-17 L) - led them to 8 play 79 yard touchdown with 11:20 left in 3rd quarter. Did throw an interception at beginning of 4th quarter but they held them to a punt.

vs Giants(17-14) - Lead them on a 12 play 75 yard touchdown with 2:42 remaining in game. Defense blew the game.

The two Giant super bowls were won on passes from Eli that are each of the most memorable catches in super bowl history.  In each of these 3 games the defense blew leads.

If a player thinks they deserve to be a first round pick, they should ball out in college football regardless of talent around them. They may lose to better teams with more talent, but they can go down firing and unbiased fans can admire the talent. If Quinn needs a clean pocket every play to have confidence or complete intermediate to deep passes, I don’t get it. The comp to Tom Brady is dead on though. That dude sucked!

SMU has played one top-50 YPP defense all year and BYU is like #45. If Texas played BYU instead of Georgia, how different id this conversation?

All have 2 losses.  I said possibly and probably.  You’re a hater lol.

using wins and losses as a quarterback stat is one of the most disingenuous arguments in all of sports.

Maybe Quinn is more like Phil Simms. The way I remember games against Phil back when I cared about the Cowboys is that if you hit him early his feet would become jumpy. If he was allowed to get into rhythm at the beginning of the game it was over he was going to pick your team apart regardless of pressure. So maybe he does not need a clean pocket all game just enough to get it going.

Much is said by all about Quinn just like it was about Troy Aikman early but all I know is when they both have it going they are unstoppable.

Hey let me see what other QB comparisons I can make, this fucking thread.🤣

Lmao! The point was to show that the GOAT at QB when not given a clean pocket can struggle, he even throws really stupid passes that end up being a safety.Quinn isn’t Brady and never will be which really brings the needing a better pocket into focus. My argument this entire time has been Arch isn’t winning us anything with the OL and running game problems we have currently. Quinn is the veteran and if he reverts to even close to form then we win out and are in the CFP. That’s all.
