year after year except, y’know, this year

two RB injuries just before the season started changed that. CJ Baxter is the best RB in the sec, and an RB of him, blue, wisner, and gipson is still pretty stacked, even if it’s not bijan, roschon, brooks, robinson levels of insanity.

I would guess he is the lowest rated player on the Texas offense currently

he’s been a bottom 2-3 player on our starting offense for huge portions of the last two years. people keep coming to this thread and saying stuff like, “quinn took us ti the playoffs”, and “quinn has us at 7-1”, and it’s like, no he didn’t/doesn’t. he is literally surrounded by better, more impactful players every single time our offense has huddled the last two seasons. that’s what makes his fan club so ridiculous. he is objectively not one of the better players on our offense and yet he’s supposedly leading this team to everything good that’s accomplished while being responsible for none of our shortcomings. people fall in love with a highly rated QB and lose all objectivity.

when quinn is gone and we get to compare arch to quinn at the same stage of their respective careers it’s going to become crystal clear just how badly QE has underperformed, especially considering that he has everything a QB could need to thrive. we can’t even get this guy to be consistently good, never mind thriving. we’re going to look back at 2024 as the year we wasted a title contending roster on a QB who has not played well, has no confidence, turns the ball over, and is afraid to get hit.

and for the record, quinn looked great early this season, and nobody here ever said otherwise. however- after he got hit/hurt he has cratered into a shell of the player he was early on, which is the same thing that happened the last time he got hit/hurt. he has absolutely been a different player since then, and while it’s possible that he could still get back to the way he was playing early on, that process should never have taken this long to begin with. he’s holding our entire offense back and making things incredibly easy on opposing defenses. we can’t afford to lose again, and i’m sorry, but we *will* lose again if he does not do a 180 from where he currently is between now and as early as tomorrow morning.

I am not a Quinn defender , but if by “the lat time” you mean the Alabama game at home 2 years ago - he did get his shoulder separated from his chest on that play

We're not losing tomorrow.

FYI...

Ewers gonna be live on ESPN GameDay in a couple minutes

That Ewers mic’d up Gameday segment at practice was super low energy. That was the best footage they could put together? No wonder our offense is so boring on the field.

For a team that absolutely can not run the ball Quinn is fucking fine.

Not on anything downfield he isn’t. The run game isn’t making him over and under throw every pass past 12 yards.

underthrows moore deep on a pass that should have been caught in stride then sails one on the intermediate middle.

Oh for fucks sake that drop is all on Moore.  The next one was all on Ewers.  Grow up.

Moore has to catch that every time. Nobody can argue that.

At the exact same time, that ball was very badly underthrown. Moore had to damn near stop. He still has to catch it, but that was a really bad throw.

He shoulda caught it, but it wasn’t a good throw at all

I don't disagree, but you're talking about maybe a yard out of 40.  Nobody is claiming Quinn's strength is the deep ball, it quite clearly isn't, but this obsession with overcriticizing him is absurd.

12-18 177 yards and 3 TDs. Shut the fuck up.

You play to win the game you dolt.

Everyone is happy he’s playing well today but there are still some issues and this Florida team is truly terrible. He has the figure out the deep ball if we want to play for the championship

I don't think that's "figure out the deep ball" thing is gonna happen.  Seems like it should have happened by now if possible.

What did Jesse Palmer say? On balls that travel more than six air yards, QE’s completion percentage is 52%. Woof.

No they arent. They were a mess early on but simplified their scheme and have improved substantially this season.  They have talent. They arent terrible.

Dude yes the are. Do you not understand how many players are injured and the positions they play? This is a non power 5 team with their current set of injuries.
