Self sack here....fucking pathetic

The self sack is.

but there more than just him. No open receivers.  No hot route.  The OL isn’t holding up well against pressure at all.

still on Quinn for that stupid slip though.

The crossing route right to left is wide open.

If you let the picture roll 2 more frames he’s got the DB beat.

Yeah this pic is this pic though. He’s not making that through to the left in this pocket. He’s not gonna step up.

please don’t think I’m defending Ewers for his bad play here. Just that it was more than just “Ewers sucks”

Even if he doesn't have anyone to throw to just taking off running would have resulted in a 1st down...

It amazes me this hasn’t been coached to him over and over, unless he literally can’t do it.
I don't think he can. He is that he is. Soft, floating passes. It's the same as Dak. Neither put any real zip on the ball. Takes way too long to get to the receiver too often. Gives the defenders time to adjust

There’s also a wide open running lane for 12 yards that Case McCoy would even turn into a a first down… or trip over his own feet like QE

Why didn't he just throw that oob? Lucky that wasn't picked; instead, we lose 8 yards.

He just crumbles under pressure.

I think he was trying to throw it on the ground in front of the RB but slung it too hard.

Which is why I’ve said, repeatedly, that Ewers slipping as he left that pocket was pathetic.

Everything that BOW and I have been saying the past 3 weeks is showing itself today. Arkansas's secondary is ass, but Ewers is just awful at anything outside of 10-15 yards. This should be a fucking blowout with the way the defense is playing but Ewers is having another shitty performance.

This offense is so limited with Quinn. Everything is swings and screens. Everyone is under utilized in this shit offense designed to Quinn's strengths.

The only down field passes that are completed are due to complete coverage breakdowns due to Sarkisian's scheme, or WRs making plays because the balls are often underthrown and allow the DBs to close the separation.

Quinn is good, but he doesn't have "it". Especially for a championship ball club.
The 4 down sequence to end the Washington playoff game sums up Quinn perfectly. Hell, the whole game is a microcosm of Quinn. Might show flashes but just can't put it together consistently.

He's such a weird player, and I am struggling to think of the right comparison. The things he does well, he does at an elite level. The things he doesn't do well, he's among the very worst in the game at. Not only is he terrible at those things, he's regressing in some of them.

I'm at the point where I think the bad outweighs the good.

I'm worried about this.  Absolutely no way he should be allowed to be here next year.

I think Arch would start even if he tried to come back.  But he won’t.

I wouldn’t want him at all

I probably wouldn’t either but someone will draft him.  Curious where people think that will be.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but it’s time to move on and get Arch ready for aggy and hopefully sec cg and playoffs.

I think we will absolutely need Arch’s legs. But beyond that, we need the deep ball and Quinn has missed 2 open ones that probably would have been TDs.

this is not elite qb play

Whatever team takes him will be making a bet that they can figure out the footwork and mechanics issues. I am not so sure that they can be fixed at this point, but I suspect someone will invest a mid-round pick with the hope that they can.

Fuck “elite.” Just good play and this is a three-touchdown (or more) game.

Don’t forget fixing not floating every pass over ten yards….  He would lead the NFL in interceptions if that somehow doesn’t get fixed.

A mid-round grade might mean he waits for the 2026 draft.

Yes, but he floats passes because his mechanics suck.
