Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet

Coach pop a bitch

If Sark rolls a one leg Ewers out next week, it might get ugly if he refuses to pull him.  He obviously can’t throw on one leg, that’s why we just ran at the end.  Or Maybe we win 10-7 or some shit but putting him out there like that will handicap the offense so damn much.

The fumble/pick 6 was not an injury thing. That was also a pretty good defensive play.

The screen pass he threw on the 3rd and 23 was pathetic and he should have been pulled immediately after that. It sucks for him because he looked pretty good in that first half.

Also, the fact he gets hurt about every other game is going to ding his draft stock maybe more than any play on the field.

You shitting me with the fumble pick??  Watch the replay, he’s not putting a lot of weight on one leg, other leg gets bumped into and he stumbles and does that.

2nd to last regular season game, spends the entire viewing time during a win waiting to rip on the QB after any errant throw online. Pretty sad existence. Couldn’t be me!

I didn't post anything until the game was over but sure I guess.

Unfortunate. He showed improvement in multiple areas early in the game. Even put some more zip on a long ball that was actually catchable if it weren’t for dpi. But then of course gets hurt again. Everything that happened after that I put the blame on Sark, not Quinn.

I watched the first half and liked what I saw. He was pretty good and seemed to be comfortable in the pocket and moving and scrambling if needed. That Ewers can beat most teams that Texas will face. His deep passes weren’t that good.

That “strip sack” was just bad luck to me. I watched it on my phone and it just looked like an int.

It was a fumble. He had the ball knocked out of his hands by a rusher. He was trying to gather it and pushed it forward.

Non hobbled Ewers averaged 5.5 yards per completion against an Arkansas team last week that held walk-on tryouts for secondary positions the week before. Hobbled Ewers didn’t even attempt a second half pass past the line of scrimmage today against Kentucky. By any metric, these are examples of bad quarterback play, healthy and unhealthy. If fans seem anxious, it’s because we have an elite defense, veteran offensive line, and 5* playmakers surrounding a quarterback that currently struggles to walk and throw. It’s frustrating because even with a 10-1 record, our ultimate goal of winning a national championship feels out of reach without a change or drastic improvement.

I agree. I saw him gimping around after that scramble.

His best pass was after the injury (TD to Gunnar). He was definitely banged up, no idea how badly. I worry more about plays like the dropped snap and then a backwards throw to get rid of the ball. That was just a WTF moment

By anyone with eyes, we fucking dominated the run game making none of that relevant

Not a sustainable game plan with our backs. You can’t run Wisner 25 plus times a game. Blue & Gibson are averaging a fumble a game. We need at least average QB play to keep this offense rolling.

Good things there are 3 running backs and 4 games left

I rarely post, but most on this thread are insufferable idiots. We won the fucking game. Did we play perfect? Hell, no, but name me a team that played perfect this week or any other week. Take the win and end the Stockholm Syndrome from the last decade. It makes us look like a bunch of whiny bitches. For fucks sake.

With our D and running game (when on) we need an experienced game manager that doesn't turn the ball over, and has the moxie and arm talent for tough throws in hostile environments. Let me check the roster.

OL play in this game was the biggest surprise. They dominated from start to finish. If they play like that the rest of the season, there won’t be much of reason to debate QB play

I'll rewatch, but by recollection I disagree.  He had possession and tried to shovel it forward.

If sark ended the game with a hobbled Quinn then buckle up he’s starting next week. I mean I don’t understand why you wouldn’t start arch when Quinn isn’t even close to 100%.

Potentially Quinn's last game in the stadium, senior night.... the defense was playing great and we could win with him being 100%. Even hobbled, my guess is they didn't want to take that away from Quinn. Speculation of course.

Probably that’s what I was thinking as well as some of the possible reasons.

He couldn't fucking walk. Of course he was hurt. Jesus Christ.

He threw for 14 yards in the second half, when the game was still in doubt until a few minutes left. If he was legit hurt like that then he shouldn't have been playing.

I swear. People complain that we don't run the ball enough. We do, and people complain that we don't pass. The game was in hand. It has yet to be established that QE is, in fact injured. WE won the game. We ran the ball down KU's throats. We typically do that when the game is in hand. Why are your bitching about QE in the 2nd half? I swear, people just have to bitch. Not you specifically, but just in general.

I don't know what to tell you. Welcome to college football and the internet? Quinn clearly wasn't right and he was still playing, and people find that strange.
