Yep. Their safeties ran the alley untouched all night cleaning up anything that made it outside including the quick game. We only made hay inside, but even that was embarrassing considering how highly our line is touted. If we could truly run the football. I mean truly. This thread would be a ghost town.

Did you see this thread after the A&M game?

I actually admit when Quinn does good and makes good throws. You'll never see ThatGuy admit any fault with Quinn.

It's a bit difficult to give you much credit here, when you call him a pussy at every opportunity.

I agree for the most part, with Sidis's longcat post.  Plus, Sark's not going to play Manning for any meaningful snaps at this point, unless Ewers gets hurt, so we have to deal with Quinn's good and bad for the rest of the season.

Sure thing pussy. Where has he ever admitted fault in Quinn? He literally blames everyone around Quinn for two years straight now

You're a toddler.  Go read the thread.  I'm not gonna do the work for you.   You are BY FAR the worst poster on this thread and you do nothing but create noise.  Fuck off, "pussy".

There were points in 2022 and 2023, maybe even in early 2024, that Quinn looked like a future 1-1 pick.

He barely looks draftable at this point.

He will be drafted. He has a ton of talent and NFL teams are always looking for the next big QB.

But probably not first round anymore.

Quinn would be a motherfucking god in Austin if he wasn’t so damn mediocre. That’s why people don’t like him. Not some stupid personal vendetta. Jesus this is a dumb take.

A wise man once said “the world treats winners differently”.

*checks notes* has only lost to Georgia twice this season.

It's not wrong it's the way he wins. Man, do any of you remember what it was like to feel like you did right after tx ou this year? What an incredible game. That's how we are about to feel every game.

Pretty sure a lot of these posters complained about colt and vy if we looked back hard enough

Quinn definitely has it in him. Wish we had more time off but actually, a bye week then Clemson then another bye week before Arizona state. Plenty of time to heal before the semis as long as the OL and Quinn can keep Quinn clean for two games in 3.5 weeks.

You are missing the point. We can't run the football well enough to get people out of coverage. Even aggy was willing to suffer the fate of our running game to prevent us from throwing it. When you can truly run the football you see Bear fronts and safeties in the box. If that happened Quinn would light up the scoreboard. Quinn is always throwing into solid coverage. Go watch how Vandy played Tenn and then think how they played us.

I watched both games and all I can think is we’d kill Tennessee and they are not very good. Also thank god we don’t have their qb.

Texas sees more Cover3 than probably any defense. 2 high shell rotating to MOFC is a pretty popular concept in College football these days. You seem to think every 2 high shell stays a 2 high shell.   Georgia ran 50 fronts vs Texas. They also ran a lot of cover 2 man in passing situations

From Vandy, what were you saying about Eagle fronts?

Little different as Vandy is Blitzing the Nickel to give you that Eagle look

Quinn exceeds 100QBR and becomes an absolute fucking legend on the pussy scale.

This got me engaging in some wildly-wishful predictions

6. First Round Game vs. Clemson. Ewers goes bananas, has literally the best game of his career (98.1 QBR) +10 for a win = 108.1

7. Quarterfinal Game vs. Arizona State. Ewers is extremely efficient and makes some huge plays (90.7 QBR) + 20 for the win = 110.7

8. Semifinal Game vs. Oregon. Ewers and company win a high scoring game, the defense bends a lot but does just enough in the end to win (93.2 QBR) + 30 for win = 123.2

9. Championship Game vs. Notre Dame. Ewers plays efficient, mistake-free ball. Indeed winning the whole fucking thing (89.0 QBR) + 60 for win = 149.0

409.3 (points from last five regular season games) + 491 (playoff points) / 9 (games) = 100.0 --> DUDE IS A BOSS, a legend is born. 🤞🤘

Not sure what your definition of "the box" is but there is only 5 in the box there. The area occupied by defensive linemen and linebackers is often referred to as "the box". The box is usually about 3-5 yards in depth and spans the offensive line in width.

see the difference above where we have seven in the box, some might say eight. I say seven.

The only team we torched down the stretch of the season was Florida who was missing 3/4 starters and had so many injuries including Lagway. Thinking we’re going to magically turn something in and “kill” a team is laughable.

Arkansas had one of the worst secondaries in football. Quinn struggled against them. You can't give Quinn the benefit of the doubt against any defense out there. Especially with how terrible his footwork is in the pocket

Sark is unwilling to put the ball or Quinn at risk in the red zone when we are struggling to run the ball. These stupid fades and horizontal passes he calls when he can attack the middle of the field are so frustrating but most of all he has to run Quinn. Everyone expects it from Arch and no one expects it from Quinn and he has shown he is good enough to get it done. Sark has to force the issue on these defenses with design runs for Quinn and not just stupid QB draws.

Yes I know Colt says hold my beer but this time we have a decent backup.

It is 3rd and 1. I avoided using short yardage situations because I did not want to distort reality. Every situation I used was in normal offense. You can easily find loaded boxes in short yardage or light boxes in obvious pass situations.

You think people were complaining about Colt and VY in year 3, which would be the 2008 and 2005 seasons respectively, though? Quinn isn't some young QB finding his way. He's completed 3 full regular seasons now. And yet the same exact issues are still there.

Either the box is loaded or it isn't irrespective of down.

Here is 7 in the box on 1st and 10 in the second half. PA completed pass for a 1st down was the result.

You are being pretty literal here.  For example UGa had a S 10 yards off the ball with no WR to his side.  Our RB 7 yards off the ball.  That S can easily play run whether he is in the box.

Theres no way you compare a tight formation on 3rd and 1 to 1st and 10.

I also thought Kirby was giving us different looks to keep us confused.
