The ONLY reason we are not celebrating QE's time here is because a guy with the name MANNING is behind him.

Nah... the reason is he's had enough issues that people clamor for the backup. This isn't unique to Texas and it wouldn't change no matter the name of the backup. QE absolutely gets celebrated for what he's done, but he also doesn't get a pass from criticism. He's been good for the program and will be welcomed with open arms and loved by the fans for that success and his leading the program back to where we haven't been in a long while. I hope he tears it up the next 3 games and gets drafted early. He's earned his shot.

Oh look everyone, thank Christ! The White Knight Quinn Ewers had been dreaming about has finally arrived.

Good to know, with the big mean internet there is at least on person out there, on the front lines, helping defenseless Texas QBs. Keeping them safe from mean and negative comments on the internet.

This has never been seen before. I'm amazed and impressed. Thank God for Longhornlove!

Keep proving that it is people like you that are the problem.

This is true. When Ewers got hurt and Manning came in and played well, I don’t think there was anyone on this site saying Manning should keep playing. We all said Quinn gave us the best chance to win. Then Quinn came back and pissed down his leg repeatedly. That’s when people started to bitch and call for Arch.

None of us are the problem and none of us matter.

We're all just talking out of our ass.

In Sark's eyes, a healthy or somewhat hobbled QE is a better option than AM.  It not only makes perfect sense, it's certainly at least a logical enough assertion for a board like this.

Agree. Hes giving his receivers a shot now to make a play or get PI. There for a while they were laughably bad.

That was noticeable against Clemson. He threw balls that would be contested to a spot that the receiver was either gonna make a contested catch or draw a DPI.

I can tell you from behind the scenes that Quinn is not having a good time here. The backup QB can do no wrong at all as far as the fans are concerned. No one appreciates the guy even though he could go down as the best QB in our lifetimes depending on what happens the rest of the way.

It's our own job as adults to fight negativity bias. We create it and either we allow it to control us or we don't. On the whole, Quinn is beloved. People scream for him constantly. They throw money at him. His coach defends him to the hilt every step of the way.

If he chooses to ignore the 20lbs of positive for the 8oz of negative, that's on him.

Toughen up, Gus. We're all counting on you. Don't Kirby Smart your own fucking fanbase.

Quinn must be fucking soft as Charmin if he’s moping around Texas unhappy after being given the keys to the kingdom for the third year in a row.

Quinn’s lucky he has the Manning excuse to deflect criticism about his play. Bitching about his moonball floaters and throws behind the receiver has nothing to do with wanting Arch. We just want our QB to throw some fucking dimes consistently.

I actually feel bad for Quinn if you are in his inner circle and giving him career advice. I hope you aren’t his agent or manager. Although this would make sense why he is unhappy if he is hearing bullshit from people like you on a daily basis. I doubt Quinn reads message board threads like this unless you are chirping these comments into his ear. And if Quinn is getting butthurt from reading fan comments on Twitter, then he is about to get a rude awakening when he goes to the NFL.

Yeah, people like me are the problem because I actually possess critical thinking skills.

I promise I'll drop that, put on some plate mail and join the White Knight Crusades!!

I'm so grateful you've made me aware of my horrible ways. God bless you, my hero.

I don't think Quinn has said anything publicly negative about the fans or his experience. Any speculation / hearsay to the contrary (without receipts) should be mocked and abused as much as the shit-talkers. Get it together.

B+ performance his best since Florida. The guy on the other side gets an A and that’s what A performances look like imo.

Only because he missed Moore wide open over the middle.

Yes, I am scrambling for a multi-million dollar QB to play 1 fucking complete game in his final season at Texas. It seems much more likely the only scrambling being done is the lowering of the bar for Ewers.

I am just trying to understand the Klubnick grading vs the Ewers grading, and the "complete game" concept.

After Clemson's first drive of the game, Klubnick finishes the first half 5/12, 1 INT. Drive chart goes: punt, punt, INT, punt, FG, downs. Clemson down 28-10 at halftime. First drive of 2nd half, Texas scores a FG to make it 31-10. Klubnick then has that ridiculous diving sack fumble that Clemson luckily recovered. Clemson punt with 5;34 to go in 3Q, down 21 points.

So, from 8 minutes left in 1Q, until 5 minutes left in 3Q, Clemson scores 3 points and is in a 21 point hole with an INT and sack fumble. But people on here want to say that Klubnick played a complete game?!? If Texas was in that position, Surly would have burned to the ground. This was nearly 3 full quarters of zero offensive production...but that QB gets an A for the game?
