If the dollar amount is true he might stay. That's nothing to sneeze at.

I understand you’re trying to get your client/son Quinn the most money on the open market, but using $6M as the number other schools are willing to pay for Quinn’s services reeks of bullshit. You might as well have said

Because we are wasting money right? 2nd season in a row in the CFP and in the second round. 2 straight conference championship appearances. Did you watch the Michigan Bama game? Bama sure could've used Ewers services.

Manning would have us in the playoffs this year too. This isnt like last season when we NEEDED Ewers. This season, Ewers is just another guy, he isnt our MVP, not even close.

But if he sneezes, he might not make it to the league.

He could also end up as Mahommes backup. Would be a perfect fit for Andy Reid.

Dude, Ewers will never amount to anything in the league. He has zero velocity on his throws in the red zone. He would get eaten alive by any NFL secondary because of that and his glass body would break the first time an NFL linebacker hit him at full speed.

Quinn is not risking another college season injury. He will go to the league and not play for a season, learn the system and train for deep ball accuracy.

So essentially, he's going to the Rams.

I’ve heard a $6-8m NIL deal. If he’s drafted in the 2nd or 3rd as expected he’s losing money by not coming back

If Arch and his people are shopping him then fuck em, pussy.

I mean why the hell wouldn’t they? You think Sark wants to deal with a QB controversy? Pretty obvious Arch is the man in 25 so why should he get what he can elsewhere? And I think the pussy thing is pretty pathetic. JMO

None of you know that. You are basing that off the worst teams on our schedule. Just wish casting.

Arch hasn’t even taken any big NIL deals yet….  I highly doubt they are shopping to the highest bidder.  He literally said yesterday he’s not even thinking about entering the portal. And I highly doubt boosters will let Ewers come back to Texas, no way that happens. (Hopefully)

I’m an idiot, thought it was referring to Quinn 😂. No idea someone was thinking Arch was being “shopped”. Carry on

Troy Aikman on the Ticket said that, in his opinion, 75% of the failed QB’s in the NFL could have been successful had they received coaching from someone who knew how to use their talents best.

It immediately caused me to think about Fisher/Young. He said that without Norv Turner Aikman would have busted out of the league within a few years.

It truly is terrible how Fisher mismanaged a QB who could have had a career like Lamar Jackson. It pisses me off every time I think about it.

Fisher acted like a petulant pussy child with VY.  I swear watching him with VY over the years, it sure looked like Fisher was deliberately cratering VY’s career.

I remember watching games where the Titans were doing great playing to VY’s strengths then it seems like Fisher realized he was helping VY’s career then went back to a power I formation.

VY should’ve been Lamar Jackson before Lamar Jackson.

For one year.

If he gets injured again, he's going to lose a lot more.

He will never make starter money in the NFL. He would be wise to take the payday. No NFL team is dumb enough to watch that dude this year and think "this is my quarterback of the future". Ewers shouldve left after last season, amazingly, his draft stock has worsened by coming back.

If he returns Texas to the promised land, this thread is gonna be like a time capsule.
I can't tell which version of him we're going to get, but he is definitely capable of winning it all. It's just frustrating to watch when he underperforms.

Oh it’ll just turn into “we won it all IN SPITE OF Quinn and that idiot Sark”

It will depend on how he performs in the game, that will decide his legacy.

Quinn is gonna ball out tomorrow. Kid has a lot to play for. Most mocks have him at either #4/5 qb overall. He’s the only one in that group with games left to play. And several of those dudes looked very average if not bad in their bowl games (Shedeur/Milroe) and hell Beck’s on the shelf.
So if you tell me that if he plays 3 more games and leads a team to NAT CHAMPIONSHIP on his way out he can’t be one of the top 3 qbs drafted I’d say BS. F the haters Ewers lets rock out with ur balls out & give the to all dem haters!!!

Seems pretty confident to me.

That’s basically what he said on the show also.

Just now, Hank Kingsley said:

Good news. He must have gotten an update from his source. He wasn't as confident last week or even this morning.

What did you listen to? He was pretty confident about what he’s heard all along

If he transfers and plays better next year, that would be an indictment on Sark's offense and QB development.

This is a really weird way to look at things. If he transfers and plays better next year it will probably be because he didn’t get hurt for the 5th straight season and has started 40 college games. We have 20 years of data points on Sarkisian’s offense and QB development. We are a very good offense with Quinn Ewers. I guess the indictment of the offense would be we have….a very good offense? Is it an indictment of his QB development that another program paid Ewers $6 million to come play for them, allowing us to start a guy named Arch Manning?

I just don't understand Sark's handling of Arch this year. The guy threw really well in the first two games he started and showed remarkable improvement on protecting the ball from game one to two, but then Sark doesn't want to let him throw the ball any more.

He probably doesn’t throw the ball much because he’s played 7 non-garbage time snaps since September.

You guys see a throw that Quinn didn't make and think "Arch would've made that". In some cases that is true. But there are a lot of throws that Quinn makes routinely that Arch struggles with. Layered throws and touch passes. None of you know if Arch can stand back there with no running game and make all those throws in the face of that pass rush on 3rd and infinity 20 times a game. He has never had to do it, and despite his name on the back of his jersey throwing accurate footballs into tight windows vs a Georgia back seven isn't easy.

Quinn was bang average against some of the worst defenses on our schedule.

Hobbes I know I don't need to tell you this but for other people. Sometimes a team has stats that say they are horrible against the pass. Then you watch the game and realize they cannot stop the run unless they put 8 in the box and play their corners on an island all game. As soon as that team plays a team that struggles to run it and they don't have to load the box they miraculously look solid vs the pass. That's why you have to watch games.

We played a lot of teams that were mediocre pass defenses but instead of going 4 or 5 wide all game and slinging it around, we chose to line up in 12 personnel and make it easy for them by asking them to only cover 3 receivers. Go back and watch the first quarter of the Georgia game with Sark's opening script. A lot of 11 personnel with 5 targets and Quinn was dealing, throwing for 140 in the opening qtr. Then what do we do? Go back to 12 personnel and make it easy for them. Now go and watch the Georgia Ole Miss game. Ole Miss 11 personnel with 5 targets.

Quinn was meant for a wide open offense. That's where he plays his best football. Go watch the Bama game last year and see who was on the field all game. Worthy, Mitchell, Whit, Sanders, and Quinn was dealing. He's a good QB in the right offense.

@Thatguy is a Helobious sock at this point right?  Like Helob but Quinn’s family member?  There’s no way he’s not kin to Ewers, right….  This seriously has to be a bit if he’s not?  There’s no one else who takes any criticism and responds like this to every post right?  If he doesn’t have a brother this is his dad, uncle or mom?  I swear he’s great if the pocket is clean and it’s 82.5 degrees…. That’s what you sound like.
