it never ceases to amaze me how a contained workout in shorts and a t shirt means more to nfl franchises than a player’s career body of work, for better or worse. quinn ewers is that asshole serial philanderer who every hot chick thinks she can “fix”. no matter how many times he’s shown you who he is, you just can’t get over what you imagine he could be.

Kinda like your infatuation over what Rick Barnes could have been.  How many times did he shit the bed in the tournament? You should love Quinn if that's your standard.

let me get this straight: anyone with a differing opinion from you is a cunty fuck? how so? i mean enlighten me. your QE cultist faction are the only people in here being belligerent, insulting, and cursing people out, all because they disagree with you about how good of a qb quinn ewers is. it’s amazing how you guys will do this for pages on end and then swear that anybody but you is the one being “a cunty fuck”. i didn’t see you all up in arms when i hit called a fat fucking fifty something loser because of my opinion. you didn’t think that was a bit cunty? you guys can dish it all day but you implode every time you see a differing opinion. that’s weak sauce man.

People that express themselves like cunty fucks are the cunty fucks

Sam and Shane had the top talent in the big 12 every time they trotted out on the field and won how many conference titles?

Based on what? Last time I checked a majority of our Big12 conference mates were getting way more guys drafted than Texas. Unless you’re referencing our recruiting rankings full of guys we never developed and were never heard of again.

temple in 2001; usc in 2007. that’s pretty much it. he went to the sweet 16 five times in seven years, something no other coach did during the decade of the aughts. it almost certainly would have been six trips in seven years had he not lost lamar is aldridge and pj tucker kn january of 2005. barnes was an elite tourney coach for a decade. since then he’s been merely aight, although he’s been to the S16 and the E8 in his last two trips. good post though. 👌🏼

Ewers was not the best option and he didnt allow our team to reach their potential. We left a national championship on the table by playing him. You will see that this year when we it all with Manning.

That’d be pretty cool. Doesn’t change anything because he couldn’t win the job in year 2 unfortunately :(

Yeah okay, more like Ewers was being protected by Sarkisian who was far too loyal and didnt want to kill the kid's NFL prospects and entire career by benching him. Everyone knew Manning was the better option besides his parents and you.

Wow, I thought your initial post was sarcasm. Then you doubled down with this. Holy shit, that's pretty impressive.

Just wait till you see what Manning does with this team. It's gonna be crazy for you to see a guy who can complete a downfield pass with zip, doesnt throw the ball sideways for every pass completion, and doesnt self sack every other drive.

I saw that Mel Kiper wasn't too kind to Quinn on his draft board. Maybe he's being punished for his injury history, because otherwise theres at least 3 QBs ahead of him that he's better than.

Maybe Mel Kiper is a dipshit.  :)

All of the QBs ahead of him are mobile. The age of the strong-armed immobile QB in the NFL are over. Quinn will backup somewhere for 4ish years then leave the league.

What about mid arm immobile QBs?

4. Quinn Ewers, Texas

The strongest parts of Ewers' outing in on-field drills on Saturday were his solid mechanics and impressive accuracy. The Texas product was hitting receivers on all levels of the field with nice ball placement the first half of his throws, and he was really able to show off his nice footwork and lower-body mechanics with no pass rush to worry about.

Ewers wasn't quite as strong as Dart was when he had to throw to his right side and on some of the deeper throws on "go" routes. The 2024 second-team All-SEC quarterback missed some easy throws on comeback routes to his right side and didn't show off much of the requisite anticipation on those routes. When it came time to throw deep, Ewers had some bad underthrows that took away from an otherwise solid performance.

Howard and Gabriel looked like hammered dogshit yesterday. They’re obviously better in game situations, but grading QE this low after yesterday is silly. He was arguably the best QB out there…

T&Ps to any nfl team needing a starting qb in this draft.

Everyone of these guys has looked like shit on the deep flag throw. Almost no one hitting targets. Dart looked the best by far on these

Some guy Bobby had on yesterday who  does the combine said Ewers was the #5 QB on the board. Weird list

Also, Mel Kiper is mouth breathing idiot who is always wrong. He said he would quit his job if Jimmy Clausen weren't a star in the league. He's a bleeding vagina. Don't take anything he says seriously.

That's exactly what he said. He said he's a day 2 pick, probably 2nd round.

Harsh, but true. It's weird how people think that can "fix" someone. You can't be fixed unless you want to be, and that's extremely rare

Sarkisian sticking with Quinn isn't some "well I guess he'a just a big idiot" thing. Coaches tend to go with more experienced players. It's not really unique to this situation.

Source: am Spurs fan, have had this exact scenario play out lots of times with younger/higher potential players not getting PT over "veteran leader" types.

Yeah. It’s like it amplified everything bad about Shaggy, and twisted what made Shaggy good. It’s no coincidence the best elements of Shaggy didn’t make it over here or didn’t last for very long.
