Waiting for Massive Attack to come on. Got here early so we are right up at the barrier. This chick at the rail is smoke. I’m at least hoping the crowd pushes forward so I can get some inappropriate touching in without Mrs. Brown noticing.

Get up there and hump dance her from behind. You know, so she gets the real 90s concert experience.

Massive Attack was amazing.

The set was the entire Mezzanine album (out of order) and covers of music they were listening to while making the album. The preshow music was a collection of the dregs of ‘98...Aerosmith, Back Street Boys, Will Smith, etc.

The O2 is a great venue. Sound is perfect.

Floor/G.A. tickets by stage for Vampire Weekend at ACL Live/Moody Theater are all sold out if anybody wants my pair.  I should probably sell and stay home with the new baby.

Is it weird that I was more excited about kingfish playing?

They’re at home, but I believe all in, floor tickets are about $75.

Yes. Some chatter about these 3 shows being the end. When we were in DR for their festival last March we actually heard quite a bit of the same.

They seem to all be doing their own thing and I’m not sure Jim wants to be tied to the band anymore. Hope I’m wrong but I’m doing all 3 shows this summer just in case.

Anyone see Heart lately?  Worth seeing?

Saw them a few years ago, opening for Def Leppard. They still have their voices and can still play their instruments at high levels. Was not a huge fan of theirs but did enjoy the show. For a 60 year old, Nancy was still good looking. She must let Ann eat all the food backstage.

that's a damn solid line up right there.  I am going to the Cult in Houston at HOB in May.  Really fired up to see them again.  I'd go to the above festival just to drool at Susanna Hoffs for their set.

Dave Matthew's Band tonight Woodlands and tomorrow night Dallas. Texas swing. Might overlap 3 songs out of 45 over 2 shows. Haters can fuck off. My 21st and 22nd shows. But hardcore fans have seen them at least 100 times.

I'm seeing them in Chicago in August and Oakland in September. Wait till thunderlounge checks this thread. He's seeing them for a bunch of dates, including with me in Chicago. We both had presale access through the fan club.

So far this year I've been to:

Ghost (Oslo)

Avatar (Helsinki)

Parkway Drive / Killswitch Engage (OKC)

and plan on going to:

Avatar (Las Vegas)

Jinjer (OKC)

There's a lot of concerts I want to go to in September and October, but not sure if I can make them since my first is supposed to be born at the end if September.

Oh, for the record, KSE fucking sucks. They were absolutely terrible opening last summer. It's like they went out of their way to make Americans look like jerks. Stood with my back on the rail most of the time. The two London shows where I skipped the rail, I also skipped KSE.
