A lot going on here. A dude who has a job at UT is angry that he didn't get considered at Aggy?

Aggy has somehow out-libtarded UT?

And what's up with these rat-human hybrids like Miller and Goebbels who feel compelled to defend the white race? Can't they go do some work on behalf of their own rat-human hybrid species instead?

The dude is a MAGA warrior fighting a guerrilla war within academia. Seriously, it's like his only purpose is to bitch about wokeness and CRT.

When Patrick proposed ending tenure he reacted like this.

"While the ACES program focuses on hiring recently graduated doctoral students who want to enter academia, the new ACES Plus Program focuses on “mid-career and senior tenure-track hires from underrepresented minority groups, that contribute to moving the structural composition of our faculty towards parity with that of the State of Texas.” It sets aside $2 million over the next two fiscal years to help match a fellow’s base salary and benefits, up to a maximum of $100,000.

"According to Texas A&M’s announcement of the new fellowship program on July 8, the university identified underrepresented groups as African Americans, Hispanic and Latino Americans, Native Americans, Alaskan Natives and Native Hawaiians."

don't you have to be a member of a 'protected class' in order to be able to claim discrimination? i've been retired a few years but i could have sworn there was something like that in the annual training we had to do.

Race is a protected class.  In theory, one cannot discriminate on the basis of race or color (or religion, gender, age, etc.).

A quick googling of this dude and it appears that the only reason he became a professor is to go on Fox News and bitch about it.

That might take away from his upcoming gig running Dan Patrick's Liberty Institute bullshit.

Fuck them all.

Based on that article, A&M's faculty is about 3.7% Black.  In Texas, about 12.1% of the population is Black or African-American.

If zero hiring consideration is given to race, then you're talking about 30-40 years (complete faculty turnover) before their faculty even remotely looks like the state of Texas.

Of course only 2.8% of A&M students are Black so perhaps that is a goal for the faculty to represent. The current status puts A&M ahead of the game. Congrats (sarcasm.)

Correct. I intend to spend the next ten years suing big law and accounting firms, which all blatantly discriminate against whites and males in partnership decisions.  There is all sorts of evidence available via internal emails and communications of this practice. There are going to be a lot of these type of lawsuits going forward in the next 5 years.

No idea if academia is the same, but can only speculate how bad that leftist cesspool must be. Going to be more of these, all you need to show is that race was a motivating factor in the adverse employment decision:

Racial breakdown of the general population is irrelevant, you look at the qualified applicant pool.

Doctoral students nationwide (qualified applicant pool) - 10.5% Black.

If 10% of the candidate population are Black, why are the results only 3.7%?

Doctoral students. That isn't the applicant pool for professorships, is it?

I would think that most major university faculty are former doctoral students. I know the number of PHDs going into academia isn't 100% but isn't teaching one of the main career paths of PHDs?

Of course if you're a Black PHD student and you know that some faculties underrepresent your race by >60%, I imagine you know that academia isn't for you.

Around 12 percent of doctoral students are in academia.

You think a higher percent of White and Asian doctoral students want to go into academics as opposed to other minorities? Or is the lack of opportunity leading to that result?
