Probably won't be any worse than the nonstop anti Trump stuff churned out daily by the media.  I don't think we are going to hear anything we haven't heard before.

I am not saying that I am sad watching the deplorables defend the the indefensible but I'd be lying like a Trumpkin if I did.

Don't use all you lube and alkyl nitrates today in the 1st hour of testimony. You will need to pace yourself today.

Dont worry. Very experienced at this. Watched Dean testifying against Tricky. Watched 11 hours of.Hillary/Benghazi hearings. Watched the hearing where Rumsfeld doomed the Iraq War by firing General Shinseki. Watched the White Water hearings and Clinton Impeachment and the vapors a blow job caused the highly moral GOP.

So probably will heed your sage advice and get more lube. Thx.

Latest issue of “Rolling Stone”.

I expect a Tucker Carlson/Sean Hannity/Laura Ingraham rant segment on this soon.

Doubtful, who even reads that outdated rag anymore ? It hasn't been relevant since the Nixon days.

Fuck this two party system.

I hope AOC, Ilhan, Tlaib and the rest upend this party fuck them.

The Republicans make a big enough stink about something, get the media to go along, and the old guard Dems fold like a cheap tent.

As. Fucking. Usual.

I don't know if it's them folding or really being on the same side as Trump on this issue.

Pelosi, appearing together with Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., the minority leader in the Senate, were pushing back against the perception that Democrats have drifted away from Israel. Interviewing them was Haim Saban, the Israeli-American entertainment mogul who with casino magnate Sheldon Adelson are major backers of the IAC. Saban is also a major backer of Democratic politicians, and Adelson is seen as a Republican king-maker.

Pelosi urged those attending not to pay “attention to a few people who may want to go their own way,” apparently referring to newly elected Congress members such as Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota who have been sharply critical of Israel.

At what point do we stop focusing all our efforts on Russia interfering with our elections when it seems pretty clear Israel has infiltrated U.S. Congress?

They’re problems cut from the same corruption cloth.  The solution to both problems is the same. The difference is Russia is trying to destabilize the US population to the point of collapse, Israel just wants what they’ve always wanted.

So trivial.

Israeli forces may have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity by using lethal military force against unarmed protesters in Gaza, a United Nations independent commission of inquiry has found.

“Israeli security forces committed serious violations of human rights and international humanitarian law,” Santiago Canton, the head of the commission, stated on Thursday.

“These violations clearly warrant criminal investigation and prosecution,” he added.

“[Israeli forces] have intentionally shot children, they’ve intentionally shot people with disabilities, they’ve intentionally shot journalists, knowing them to be children, people with disabilities and journalists,” Sara Hossain, one of the other three investigators appointed by the UN Human Rights Council, said.

This stuff happens because we allow it to happen.

Yeah, because of some weird fealty we have towards Israel.

I've been to Israel.  I've met many Israelis.  Some of them, I assume, are good people 😉

But Israel is not our 51st state.  We should stop showing it some endless amount of deference and respect we don't even show Puerto Rico - an island full of AMERICANS.

To my last point, Israel has more effective representation in Congress than Puerto Rico or Guam or the USVI or even D.C.

Geo-politics.  They are an ally in a very unstable, and openly hostile region. The enemy of my enemy is my friend is the order of the day last century there (for the US at least).

It’s been remarkable how the US has balanced the alliance with Israel and Saudi Arabia at the same time.  We are united by our true religion, money.

Power really. That, stability, and relative safety. The money is jut a nice friends with benefits perk.  Now show me a nation state not focussed on any of those thIngs.  The crown Princes know Israel isn't a threat to them because America. Israel know the crown princes fund terrorism, but America keeps them at bay.

No it’s the money.  The power comes with it. A country’s power and security is determined by its economic strength.

Not in my opinion.  The power comes first in the way of military conquest and military projection (SEE:  The British Empire, post World War II America). The money comes after, in tribute and trade.

I just wish Nancy would sack up and call them on their shit.

Jim Jordan covered up sexual assault at Ohio State as an adult in charge - nothing from House leadership

Steve King - barely anything from House leadership worth being mentioned

  1. Probably waiting for Mueller report
  2. Probably keeping powder dry until closer to November of 2020

She's playing a long game.

That's nice. Doesn't mean we have to swear fealty to BiBi's government.

She's playing with fire.  If we end up with another term of dotus, she will shoulder some of the blame for playing politics and not doing her duty.

You’re an idiot. They are doing it to themselves. Spend some time on the hill (which obviously you have never done), visit with your elected officials and actually speak with the people you claim to support. As opposed to screen grabbing every god damn article you can find and posting it as if it somehow legitimizes your twisted take. But you would rather spend hundreds of hours on here listening to yourself.

First and foremost any elected official owes their allegiance to those who elected them....and then their party. And in the real world that causes problems.

Pelosi is playing the long game here. Seeking to impeach Trump would rile up Trump’s base and give them a rallying cry in 2020. Pelosi will not give them that satisfaction

She’s letting Trump’s base influence her decision making which means she is losing.

What do you do for a living Hugo?  Because I have a feeling it doesn’t involve being Speaker of the House, and she might just know what she’s doing.

This (from @spaceavian:)

This sends a message that you can violate the law in any way you see fit, as blatantly as you want, subvert democracy to the best of your ability in any 4-year term. And it’s OK.

This kind of thinking and declaration weakens America even more than Trump does.

Yes, impeachment is HARD. It’s really hard. But this is the job you signed up to do. This is your duty. There never has been such a clear case and necessity for impeaching a President as this one. This is what the founders of the country intended.

Good GOD, Nancy.

How did we get to this point in the first place? With exactly this thinking. No repercussions for illegal behavior. The criminals take notice. They know they can hang around and just do this again without punishment.

Stop “looking forward” and start imparting consequences.

He's gonna be indicted.   That's a consequence.

And you might enjoy wasting time and jerking off.   Pelosi doesn't.   There's no way that the GOP senate convicts trump.  0% chance.  Impeachment is a waste of time.  As his crimes continue to be revealed, force GOP members to either go all-in on Trump, or run from him.  That's what she's doing.

I'll begrudgingly give her the benefit of the doubt, but it's beyond frustrating that our political system is so fucking stupid that we have the most utterly unfit person in all of history in office perpetrating multiple crimes and practicing the most blatant acts of dumbshittery, but we have to play the game in order to get him out.

Riiiight.  The old you aren’t smart enough to criticize our representatives.

The democrats do this shit all the time. The make excuses not to act because they’re afraid of “rocking the boat”.  The iceberg is dead ahead, everyone can see it but the democrats fear a mutiny from the kitchen staff if they try to remove the captain because he’s going to get everyone killed.

Great strategy Nancy.  Hope it works out for everyone.
