Is this the worst it's ever been?

I understand that Sark almost beat Bama.  And he almost beat top 10 ou last year.  But they were still losses.

Is that really evidence of improvement?  Almost wins against better teams?  Strong beat top 10 Notre Dame and Herman almost beat top 10 LSU.  But they played down to a bunch of other teams and lost, just like we're doing now.

3 and fucking 8 in our last 11.

Are we really any better than we were 2 years ago, 4 years ago, 6 years ago?

Recruiting is great though.  I am sure that will turn this shit around.

Recruiting likely won't survive with another mediocre or bad year. Even with NIL.

That's why if this is another bad season you just do the inevitable. Fire Sark.

Define bad season to get rid of a second year coach.

3-9?

4-8?

5-7?

6-6?

and 2 of the wins were ULM , UTSA and what was the other?

teams win close games when they get clutch stops.  Texas doesn't do that in close games.

Talent wise, we are better. Coaching wise, it's the same soft serve shit. I just don't understand how none of these guys can figure that every team we play is going to give us their best 60 minutes. Yet we routinely act like it's beneath us and fart around for the first 20-30 minutes before deciding it's time to play.  Today's game is a perfect example of what happens when you don't match the opponents intensity.

Texas hasn’t shown intensity in 15 years

We have in flashes. We popped Georgia in the face to cap off our sole 10 win season. We drilled OUs ass in 2013 and 2015. We beat Bama’s ass with Hudson fucking Card, if it wasn’t for the refs spotting Bama 2 points.

Is he worse than strong? That’s really hard to fathom. I thought there was no way we could go that low again.

he's pretty much even with him at this point.

Just when my hopes get hyped up again after saying I would never let that happen again after years of being let down.  Then today happens and if I wasn’t depressed enough you had to point that out, thanks….   Lol.

Strong was 11-14 in his first 2 years and then the inevitable happened in year 3.

Same thing will happen with Sark if his record is similar.

His record will be worse at this rate.

If it's anywhere close to the same record as Strong.....he should be fired.

Or it's another year 3 of a lame duck coach that has to do something special to keep his job.

we all knew this would be the same shit team if Card was the quarterback but somehow now we're surprised. lol

Tech is bad and with their 2nd string QB.

No reason Texas should lose this game even with Card.

This. Apparently our 2nd QB can be absolute dogshit and it’s not his fault but Tech or OU can put in anybody.

Oh, I am certain our dumb ass administration will keep him around after a losing season. I thought the question was when we SHOULD fire him.

most of the time the QB is mobile and makes plays with his feet.  Sark doesn't want his QB to run.  A mobile QB covers a lot of ills.  our guy has to be Dan Marino.

Herman was 8-3 in his last 11…

Herman was the floor of what I would expect from a Texas head coach and he's fucking Knute Rockne compared to Chuck and Seven Loss.

Thinking if he has another losing season this year, the hole will be too deep to climb out of.

I never ever thought Texas, with all its resources and history, would struggle for so many years. It’s so frustrating.

The 80’s and 90’s say hi.

I hate to say it, but I think we've eclipsed those years.

Absolutely.  We were killers in multiple years in the early 80s.  A fucked up situation with a punt away from a NC.  In the 90S we won MULTIPLE conference championships etc.  This last 12 years have been total wandering in the wilderness dogshit.  This is multiple times worse than those two decades.

I was on campus those years and the last 13 years or so have been way worse.  I truly believe the program is cursed.  We find strange ways to lose games and it doesn’t matter who the coach has been.

5 conference titles (4 for real) during that era. We’ve had 2 in 22, and that includes a dominant decade with a title.

Sounds like we’re the “Jerry Jones” Dallas Cowboys of college football.
