Who the hell was from Goliad?? Or did you just mean down highway 183 from Cuero to Refugio?

Correct. I am friends with a number of older black women from Gonzales (not Goliad) and generally they know the families from Halletsville, Shiner, all the way down to Refugio. I know that is a huge swath of land (1.5hr drive) but the populations are pretty low unless you include Victoria. The connection is church, and lots of related families.

Cuero and Refugio were machines in the 80s. Absolutely dominant programs.

Refugio was running up the score on teams Spurrier style pretty recently.

both programs do churn out an unusual amount of D1 athletes.  Another school was Gilmer

Gymnastics seems likely.

As it should. Moody would be an excellent venue for women's Gymnastics and there is so much gymnastics talent (Yes, I mean both athletic skill and attractiveness) in Texas that ends up at LSU or Oklahoma. Livvy Dunne obviously crushed it on the NIL front at LSU, she would have made more at Texas. Our corporate NIL structure sets up Womens gymnastics to be second to none....just have to make it happen

Yeah, my kid has dabbled in the periphery of the junior gymnastics scene here in Houston and I was surprised at how serious and organized it all is. But there's nowhere for the kids to go. They all want to go to OU.

I live about 10 miles away from where the greatest gymnast ever grew up. Simone Biles, Hezly Rivera, Kennedy Baker, Alyssa Baumann, Sydeney Barros, Kiya Johnson, Katelyn Jong, McKenna Kelly, Madison Kocian, Nastia Liukin,  Skye and Sloane Blakely,  all Olympians and all call Texas home, hell even Mary Lou Retton lives or lived in Houston. Most of that list went to SEC schools for college and that doesn't even account for the gymnasts that will be drawn to Texas outside of the state. Texas could be a powerhouse if handled correctly

I thought I clicked on the Texas recruiting thread not women's sports.

Hey we aren't going to get to a thousand ever again, but this is the stuff that gets us closer and is a million times better than the usual rabbit trails

Yeah, they hire a really good coach and it will all work out nicely.  It's make too much sense not to do it.  CDC isn't a dummy.

We should probably pivot back to using 247 as the linked page for the recruits since On3 is being stupid about trying to monetize their shit.

Agreed.

247 also includes a scouting report (usually), which can vary in quality and depth, but a plus nonetheless.
