Why not?

I want it to be referencing OU. I assumed the person who made the original assumption did so based on something other than blind hope. But if hope is all we got, I’ll go with it.

Samuel’s hand looks at least twice the size of Flood’s. Holy hell.

That arm span is impressive. I'm sure his hands are large, but they're close to the camera.

Doesn't his mom live in Austin? Huge advantage if true.

Yep. Relocated for work. He's choosing to finish high school in Florida.

Was thinking the same thing a bit of a camera trick with his hand closer to camera, but still. Big ole mitts.

I, for one, absolutely love that aggy has (largely) accepted their proper place as little brother again. The #WRTS bullshit while really accomplishing not much more than Texas did in the 2010s was a beating.

“Poooooor aggy.” They really only can best Texas by either cheating their asses off so badly they get sanctioned, or by Texas having a decade-long program aberration of results. BAS seems like one hell of a condition (only to be outmatched by Rimbo’s clinical fear of Notre Dame).

Well they're wrong. We will pay more because we can. Maybe aggy should stop being poor.

Got him and KJ Edwards on the same weekend. Big one for Choice.

Land him and either Crowell or Cooper and we're good to go.

Four star LB Anthony Davis is going to visit Texas on an OV.  Doesn't have the dates for his visit, yet.

(His OV list - "Alabama, Auburn, USC, Texas, and probably Ole Miss.")

Texas Tech commit locks in Texas official visit

Texas Tech linebacker commit Tieson Ejiawoko (linked to 247 profile) (Georgetown, Texas/East View) tells OnTexasFootball that he has locked in an official visit to Texas in June.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound versatile linebacker with some similarities physically to Brad Spence in high school told OTF that his official visit to Texas is locked in for June 13-15th.

Ejiawoko will follow up the Texas official visit with his OV to Texas Tech June 20-22.

The Longhorns offered the Central Texas prospect January 25 following attending junior day. Since that time, he has been in contact with Johnny Nansen consistently.

Didn't CTJ say that a few weeks back?

Also Gerry:

Wednesday recruiting notes

OnTexasFootball provides some recruiting notes to start you guys and gals Wednesday.

Two offensive lineman remaining to schedule official visits...

Texas currently has eight offensive lineman scheduled for official visits, with one being committed.

John Turntine III, OT, Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley
OnTexasFootball ranking: 5-star

Samuel Roseborough, OT, Clearwater (Fla.) High
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++

Sam Utu, OT, Orange (Calif.) Lutheran
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++

Nicolas Robertson, IOL, Klein (Texas) High
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star+

Max Wright, IOL/OT, Melissa (Texas) High #AllGasNoBrakes
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star

Felix Ojo, OT, Mansfield (Texas) Lake Ridge
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++

Toa Katoa, IOL, Euless (Texas) Trinity
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star+

Zaden Krempin, IOL, Prosper (Texas) High
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star

There are two more prospects on the line that Texas definitely plans on bringing in for OV's. Those two are Oregon commit and OTF 4-star++ RT Kodi Greene (Santa Ana, Calif./Mater Dei) and OT/G Malakai Lee (Honolulu, Hi./Kamehameha). Lee's top schools currently are Michigan, Alabama, BYU, Texas, Georgia and USC. Kyle Flood saw Greene in person in January, while Johnny Nansen made the trip to Hawaii to see Lee. Both are expected to make unofficial visits this spring, prior to June official visits.

Derrek Cooper and Texas ...

The OnTexasFootball 5-star running back out of Chaminade-Madonna in Hollywood, Fla. has real interest in Texas. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder is expected to make an unofficial visit this spring. Cooper, a one-time Georgia running back pledge, has Texas on a list of schools being seriously considered headlined by Miami and a number of SEC powers plus Ohio State.

Defensive line names to know ...

The defensive line names to know above all others right now in the 2026 cycle are Jaimeon Winfield (Richardson, Texas/High), Kendall Guervil (Fort Myers, Fla./High), Dylan Berymon (Monroe, La./Ouchita Parish), Vodney Cleveland (Birmingham, Ala./Parker), Emanuel Ruffin (Bessemer City, Ala./High) and Valdin Sone (Dyke, Va,/Blue Ridge School).

Every single one of these recruitments will be battles that will take months to play out.

Texas is going to have its pick of the litter at OL. I'm interested to see where this winds up because, man, there's a good chance that they're going to have to tell some guys "no" that anyone would take.

Circumstances might resemble that same situation at DT, WR, and Edge.

you expect this OL class to be better than the 2022 one?

If we turn down Utu or Greene because we’ve already accepted commits from Toa Katoa and Zaden Krempin, I won’t be happy. Luckily I’ll never know - ignorance is bliss. I’ll just assume we didn’t want to commit too much NIL on o-line at the neglect of other positions.

Did Chris Henry play last year? I tried finding his stats but looked like he had single digits in catches and yards. Wasn’t sure if that was bad data, an injury, or something else.
