Well, he's just trolling because he knows aggies are seeing that picture. They're confused by the colors, however.

A college sports version of the Stroop effect would be interesting.

Turntine at Michigan this weekend ... uh ... THIS is an offensive lineman? Am I looking at something other than what Gerry Hamilton is looking at?

Hey buddy, Gerry says he'll blow up in a S&C program!

Am I wrong? Does that kid looks like he weighs 240-250 pounds, at most?

Not at all. The first time I saw him I legit thought he was a project Edge. That dude needs at the very least 3 years in a program to put on the necessary weight to contribute, and I'm even skeptical of that.

I like Gerry a lot, but man, him saying he is/was the best tackle in state regardless of class is, um, interesting to say the least.

He looks like a Center Back in soccer ️ or maybe the manager for a high school basketball team 🏀.

Nice guy, good student, and possibly plays the cello in his high school orchestra. (Of course he is 1st chair cello.)

For reference, Sherrone Moore played at 6'4 300.   I think the kid will be alright from a size perspective.

Why is Gerry catching strays here? Turntine is a 5 star. If he's not an OT in college then a lot of people are wrong. Including Kyle Flood.

I believe he can be an elite center at college and NFL level. His feet and strength are good.

What more do you guys want? This comment by BO&W is the strongest “he’s definitely an elite tackle” evaluation this board could ask for.

There aren't many starting NFL tackles under 6'5 height....

He has elite footwork, long arms, and is very strong guy at his current weight. He likely gets to about 305-310 in college for his playing weight. Those measurements with his tools would crush at the center position as well as him being an incredibly smart kid(top 5 in his class).

If a guy has elite tools, he can play any position in the college game. In the pros, they would try to move him inside. Regardless, he is a guy who you bring in at tackle from a recruiting perspective and then figure it out once he gets here.

I realize it's BO&W, but his is this even a fucking conversation even for him?

"Hey Turntine, we've decided we like you at Center."
/Turntine gives the Herman double finger, speeds off, signs with another Blue Blood who will play him at Tackle.

Only BO&W views this is a win, somehow.

Let’s not act like this is TexAgs and that Gerry and Kyle Flood are unquestionable projectors of future collegiate success.  Tray Allen and Jake Raulerson were also 5 stars at one point and O-line appears to among the hardest positions to project.  Gerry is at least modest enough to get this, which is why he’s usually skeptical about high school lineman making it as college tackles, regardless of bonafides.

I really hope Turntine comes to Texas because I love it when we’re attractive to student athletes that actually want the student part, but he looks light and he’s not some underfed kid from Kountze that’s going to put on 40 lbs in year one just because he has access to a dorm buffet and a badass gym (if those kids even exist anymore outside of rural Mississippi).

You can't use an average value as the only means to define a range of values. I don't care if you actually end up being right, but this a horrible way to try to make a point.

Assuming a normal bell curve of data, 50% of OTs are under 6'6". If that is the case, then some could say there could be many OTs under 6'5".

But you only gave us the average value and tried to pass it off as the minimum.

I'm not saying recruit him as a center, but statistically speaking due to average heights and shit in the NFL he doesn't project to NFL OT....

As said above do whatever you have to do to get him on campus then decide long term.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/players/_/position/ot

Of the 194 players listed above only 4 are listed at 6'3(2%) and 21 are listed at 6'4(11%). I used that link because it was the best compilation of names for the position I could find on Google. So yes 6'3 and even 6'4 is very uncommon for NFL OT. On another site it seems the want for more height at the tackle position has exploded the past 3-5 years as average height has increased about an inch. A final note is that I'm not sure why some of these players are listed on there when they are listed as guards for their team.

The four 6'3 players listed are as follows with some notes:

The only consistent starter at tackle of the 6'3 guys is Beachum

The 6'4 players listed are as follows with notes:
