Just so we're clear. Tree fiddy don't do shit to prevent ads in CR?  If that's the way it's going to be just say so.

For whatever it's worth, the total advertising bombardment doesn't seem to be an issue using the piece of shit native Samsung browser - just Chrome.

I'm happy to provide whatever additional details might be useful in unfucking Chrome, because I hate using the Samsung app. Just let me know whatever I can do to help, @immamac

I haven't had this issue be persistent if you clear all browsing data related to surly or if you clear all cookies and reload the page. I fixed it on my own but didn't document the data when it happened to me to get it to them to fix what is causing it on their side because I figured if it was happening this often it would have happened again.

This is caused by a cookie mismatch on their cookies and their parser so it isn't the server cookie that needs clearing. It's actually your browser and surly related cookies that need clearing. I can post a guide on how to do that here with screenshots, but I don't want people to think it's all super advanced as a workaround, unfortunately browsers don't make cookie management super simple.

If I just follow these directions, am I good to go?

Sorry for what is almost certainly an idiotic question, but am I going to be logged out of every site or whatever, or is there going to be no nuisance factor at all? I feel like I have had both painless and painful experiences in the past when fucking around with this shit, and I don't know what, if anything, the difference was in whatever I did.

Yep you’ll be logged out but that’s it.

I have unstoppable ad super-aids on the mobile site on my pixel 5a. I've tried clearing all browser data in chrome and cookie monstering, logging out and restarting the phone before logging back in.  I can't figure this shit out, wondering if there's anything else I could try.  I just logged in on my wife's iphone and browsed and had the ads on there as well.  It also ad blasts me if I switch to the desktop site.

I don't have this issue on a PC fwiw. Any ideas?

I had them disappear, come back, then disappear again mid-page load.

ad infestation has finally gotten me - first time evar - at certain times the site is totally unusable

Just FYI, if you use Firefox on mobile, you can install ublock origin on it, and never see another ad again as long as you live.

No ads for porn? I haz disappoint. I can’t stop laughing I’m sorry.

Pretty sure the ads are personalized so you won't see porn ads unless you watch a porn site that advertises like...
