None of what y’all are saying makes any sense. If there is any threat of you being stripped of an asset, you don’t put more of your money into that asset. I don’t care how he structures a sale; if the consideration for someone else building a stadium for him is him granting a sizable minority share, Snyder is still paying for the stadium. He may be doing so in a cashless transaction, but he’d giving up significant ownership %. So he’s paying for it.

Snyder isn’t broke - he can build a stadium. He also isn’t stupid and isn’t going to pour money into an asset of his that he might be forced to sell at a discount.  The stadium ruse  theory makes zero sense.

I’ll take a porterhouse rare please. Thanks.

Looks like Danny really fucked up.

The House committee said in its letter to the FTC that it found evidence of deceptive business practices over the span of more than a decade, including withholding ticket revenue from visiting teams and refundable deposits from fans. The committee outlined through the testimony of former employees and access to emails and documents a pattern of financial impropriety by owner Dan Snyder and team executives. At one point in 2016, the team retained up to $5 million from 2,000 season-ticket holders while also concealing sharable revenue from the league, according to the committee.

One former employee testified before Congress, saying the team had two separate financial books: one with underreported ticket revenue that went to the NFL and the full, complete picture. According to testimony, Snyder was aware of the numbers shared with the league while also being privy to the actual data. The business practice was known as "juice" inside Washington's front office.

According to other testimony, financial misconduct included making it intentionally difficult for season-ticket holders to recoup refundable deposit money, counting some of those leftover funds as a different kind of revenue that doesn't need to be shared with the league, and shifting money from ticket sales for NFL games to other events at FedEx Field as a way of hiding that money from the league. The committee in the letter shared spreadsheet data showing evidence of deposits that were not returned. Citing emails and the testimony of Jason Friedman, a longtime vice president of sales and customer service, the letter said ticket sales from Washington games were shifted to a 2013 Kenny Chesney concert and a 2014 Navy-Notre Dame college football game as a way to "juice" revenue and keep it off the books shared with the NFL.

That's what will get the other owners to show him the exit. He can fuck over his fans, DC, Maryland, Va and nobody will bat an eye. Hide money so you don't have to share it? Yeah, that is gonna get you run off.

Irsay is willing to go on the record because what else could there be on him? He ain't skairt.

If Danny doucher thinks he has dirt it's nothing compared to what they have on him.

Take the money and go away Danny.

Jeff Bezos Is 'Looking Into Buying' Washington Commanders: Source

Spoiler

Jeff Bezos is interested in purchasing the Washington Commanders, a source close to the billionaire tells PEOPLE.

The source says that Bezos, 58, is "looking into buying the Washington Commanders" after current owners Dan and Tanya Snyder announced they were exploring options to sell the NFL team on Wednesday.

Bezos is considering making the purchase "possibly in partnership" with Jay-Z, according to the insider. The rapper previously owned a stake in the Brooklyn Nets.

The Amazon founder's interest in purchasing an NFL team dates back to 2019 when CBS Sports reported that Bezos had expressed interest in becoming an owner in the league. Sources told the outlet that Bezos "has strong support within the league to eventually join their ranks," but at the time, no teams were for sale.

Now though, the Commanders could be available. The Snyders appears to be entertaining the idea of selling — or adding a minority owner to — the team after 23 years of ownershi, according to a statement shared with PEOPLE on Wednesday. The Commanders stated that the Snyders "have hired BofA [Bank of America] Securities to consider potential transactions."

I like this idea.  A college football fanbase with NFL team ownership.  That has to be better than even the best NIL program.

Don't we call that the Packers?

Screw around all you want, sexually harass and even assault the cheerleaders and even write some racially-insensitive stuff. You will be fine. But hide money from the NFL and cheat the fanbase and you are screwed.

The fact that the Oversight Committee has a Twitter feed to comment on ongoing investigations makes me slightly ragey.

In 1986 they would have released a Press Release and mailed members of the Press a binder with the full report. Now, its a headline, executive summary and link to download the report.

Or, is it Twitter’s new direction that you’re ragey about?
