The runoff favors Warnock in just about every scenario. Look at how many voters Kemp got compared to Walker. Lots of Republicans probably showed up to vote for kemp and voted for Walker while they were already at the poll site. I don’t think GOP enthusiasm will be as high with a 1 on 1 race.

Dems flip Michigan Senate

Dems may have also flipped NM-02 by 1000 votes

Dems might have gained a Trifecta in MN

Wisconsin Dems prevent a supermajority in the legislature. Evers’ veto is secure

the metaphor was a little on the nose for my liking, but looks like we held on for one more cycle.

I’m over here at the Democratic Party watch party at the Encore, and they’re feeling very good about CCM.

Sislak, though, is well below the glidepath.

CCM is the one that matters. I don’t care if siskolak loses.

Don’t like these late night Republican women on cnn who basically think Trump is Satan and Desantis would basically win all 50 states give me a fucking break.

rooting for desantis is good. it will get the implosion started on schedule.

trump will tear down the party or run as a 3rd party. it’s win-win.

That’s certainly the case when the Lege, the AG, and the SOS will all be Dems.

But we’d still prefer Sisolak to win, of course.

Nevada is so weird. You kind of hop from suite to suite for the various office holders here at the Encore seeking out the best food and drink.

AG Ford has the best food.

Gov. Sisolak has the best drink.

South Dakota approves Medicaid expansion.  Yet another state who is inferior to Texas in nearly every way making a rational decision that we can’t make.

living in a state with no ballot initiative process and a dumb ass legislature is frustrating at times.

Back in the early 2000s, I randomly spent a couple hours with Ari Fleischer at the Waco Damon’s. I lived in the area and was there to watch Ricky and the Dolphins play on the big screen TVs and Fleischer was always in Waco due to W. He’s a Miami fan, so we had a similar rooting interest.

He didn’t seem like such a fucknut back then.

I hope Ghost knows what he’s talking about regarding the NV Senate race, the numbers I’m seeing aren’t looking great. Thank god for Pennsylvania.

Yep…They just got their ass handed to them.  Throw in many R’s will be trying to usher Trump out and he will go pout.  Then the R’s will turn off more voters with all the fraud bullshit.  Plus Dems are riding an emotional high.  It’s gonna be a real facefucking.  Pumped.

Texas is a lost fucking cause.  Will be interesting to watch the brain drain.

Nah.

It’s even scarier. No one is going to leave as it IS the future.

It’s the winning playbook for the republicans if they want to listen.

1.) Restrict the vote. This is key

2.) Gerrymander the shit out of everything

3.) Completely commit to trickle down as

a.) It keeps you (rich white men) with all that great loot

b.) It keeps everyone else on the hamster wheel so much they can’t see the great OZ behind the curtain / they don’t have time for politics

4.) Beat the crime drum and blame the feds when they’re D’s / big city D’s any other time or at the same time. Yahtzee.

5.) Racism & national exceptionalism with some ‘light’ fascism. Not KKK racism. The half caff white national stuff. Prosperity theology equivalent racism so to speak. Take a sliver of nationalism and just run with it and make it your own. The fascism just kind of happens after that.

6.) Disinformation all around but really, really hammer the spanish language media - this blunts any of the racism spillover into your spanish language voters

7.) God. This can’t be overlooked. Really lean into that one as no one wants to go to hell. That’s a scary place.

This isn’t actually the order. You have to do this in a different order if you’re swinging a blue state red as opposed to keeping a red state red or making it redder.

So as long as all states get behind this model (Florida already has), then we will all live in Texas soon enough. The United States of Texas.

California voters overwhelmingly rejected a proposition to legalize sports betting at casinos and online. What the hell is that about?

There were two propositions about sports betting, one only allowing it at tribal casinos, the other allowing it online. The tribes spent big bucks against the online prop, and Draft Kings/Fan Duel spent big bucks against the tribal prop. So they both lost.

It will be great watching the Republican party and the Right simultaneously say they didn't win big because of Trump and also because they didn't go Trumpy enough. It will be great watching Trump go in on DeSantis. DeSantis is a bigger threat to Trumps than Joe Biden, by far. DeSantis makes him even more irrelevant.

Not relevant to most but man was I glad to wake to seeing the One Family lunatics roundly rejected (like prior restraint, Walter) here for RRISD board membership.  I’ve posted before about my idiot neighbor and his big sign, canvassing the neighborhood and handing out flyers.  Fuck that ‘ABC’s and 123’s not CRT or LGBT’ nonsense.

We teach our children it’s ok to like who you like, that it’s ok for people to marry other boys/girls as they see fit, and to love people for their character not their appearance.

Not my school district, but this is great fucking news/

While the House outcomes look like a pretty round rejection of Trump, the Senate is murkier.  Johnson retained his seat, and it looks like Laxalt and Vance will win, while Walker will make it to a runoff.  Masters and Oz were the only 2 of those 6 contested seats where Trump’s candidate was clearly beaten.

Laxalt isn’t going to win. There’s like 100k mail in votes left for Clark that are going 2:1 D.

I think the message was pretty clear that Trump is now a party negative. Some may not understand that yet, but I think the message was clear.
