Well, some LIKE it hot.

And others like to bang a gong.

Seriously, Power Station was an incredibly underrated band probably because they only put out one album, then Palmer left and so they tried to tour with Michael des Barres.

Remember the "Lions Not Sheep" cap the cunt Emily Rainey has been wearing? Here is the dipshit founder of Lions Not Sheep and his facebook page.  It's sad that he gets the following from the people that he does.  His name is Sean Whalen and his personal facebook page.

Have you heard the latest about Hunter Biden’s laptop and how Twitter was censoring conservatives?

The next time I hear any relative or acquaintance mention the laptop or Twitter censorship, I’m going to ask them ”you know it’s about pictures of Hunter Biden’s penis, right?  Why didn’t the libtards at Twitter want us seeing Hunter Biden’s penis? Was it really only 8 inches instead of the rumored 9?”

I like that Fox News’s talking heads in 2022 in the evening lineup are talking about dick pics, but trying not to explicitly say dick pics.  And it’s about Biden’s son, and none of them are willing to say anything like “How is Hunter rocking a decent sized penis of 8-9 inches instead of a tiny 6-inch dick?” But they are all thinking it.

Looks like at least one of the attacks in the NW was done by run of the criminals and not politically motivated

I know most criminals are stupid, but that definitely takes it to the next level. Attack a substation to get to a cash register? This criminal genius is going to get 20 years for a $40 heist. Ok, $43 if he grabbed the roll of nickels.

Dude.

Dude what?

We don’t know the motive of the attacks on the substations in NC. They coincided with a drag show that was vocally opposed by some right-wing extremists but we don’t have any direct evidence linking them to the attacks. If there was a burglary committed against a local business by the attackers as a result, that would be news to me. Those attacks look like domestic terrorism but we can’t say for sure.

When attacks on substations in Tacoma, WA occurred, we guessed that they might have been sympathetic, copycat attacks. We now have a confession by a suspect that it was done for the purpose of committing a burglary.

On Dec. 31, when federal agents and local law enforcement executed warrants, they found Greenwood in a fifth-wheel trailer, and found a short-barreled rifle with what appeared to be a homemade silencer and a short-barreled shotgun.

The criminal complaint does reference a motive, as described by Greenwood.

Greenwood, in a statement to law enforcement after he was arrested and read Miranda rights, said he and Crahan had been planning to disrupt power to commit a burglary, according to the complaint. Greenwood said he entered all four substations using bolt cutters, while Crahan acted as a getaway driver, according to the complaint.

After the morning attacks, the two men went to a local business, drilled out a lock and stole from a cash register, according to Greenwood’s statement cited in the complaint.

Holly Fisher identified herself as Greenwood’s girlfriend in an interview Tuesday at the Puyallup property where they lived. She said she was inside the trailer when agents broke windows and threw flash-bang grenades during the arrest.

“He figured that a power outage would make it so they could get inside somewhere and take something of value,” Fisher said of Greenwood.

The substation attacks and the burglary in question occurred on Christmas Day. Die Hard is a popular movie to watch around Christmas time. I watch it practically every year around that time and this year was no exception. If you recall, the burglars in that movie posed as terrorists in order to get the FBI to cut power to the building they were in so they could gain access to the vault. Given the timing and the circumstances, I couldn’t help but wonder if those schmucks from Tacoma got the idea from watching Die Hard. I’d still like to ask them.

It’s not like whoever committed the substation attacks in NC originated the idea. That’s happened before. There were a half dozen substation attacks committed in the Pacific Northwest last November.

What am I missing? I thought it was a perfectly reasonable thought to ponder. Still do.

You're doing that thing where you take a joke post far too seriously.

Probably just read about the NC attacks in Time Magazine.

Oh, I see. I missed the part about Time magazine before.

But I gotta say, that’s kind of lame. It doesn’t really make sense. There’s not a parallel there like there is with turning off the power supply. You might just as well have said maybe he wanted to steal Twinkies for his pregnant wife.

do they have any leads on this? haven't kept up with the thread

As for the attacks in NC, none that I’ve seen. There’s some circumstantial evidence that might suggest some connection to neo-Nazi groups but they could just as easily be trying to capitalize on the attacks for their own purposes. Or it could just be coincidence. Nothing concrete and the investigation is ongoing.

Apparently some neo-Nazis hung banners in Moore County, NC over the holidays. One the day before the start of Hanukkah and another on Christmas.

The first banner included the language “bring it all down.” The Telegram channel for this neo-Nazi group, National Socialist Resistant Front, includes graphics with the same language imposed over a graphic of a power substation.

The second used the phrase “a touch of death” which doesn’t seem to have any specific Nazi ties and is the title of a pulp noir novel.

The sheriff’s office says they don’t have any indication that these incidents are connected to the power substations.

I thought the FBI had taken over this investigation b/c of the local KKK vibe.

They’re involved. I don’t know if “taken over” is the right way to describe their role in the investigation. Maybe describing it as a joint operation would be accurate but I’m not sure if local authorities have done more than ask the public for information. Bullet casings were collected at the scene, the FBI sought a federal order to obtain cell phone records, and the governor offered a reward. I’d have to assume that only the FBI has the wherewithal to search the online activity of potential suspects.
