There is definitely some great stories there, they should start small with Eisenhorn. Treat the Spacemarines like lightsabres and Jedi in Star Wars, rarely used.

Quit Witcher,

And for good reason.  He was a purist who cared about the source material, and the showrunners/producers didn't.

Here's hoping that the W40K showrunners care about the source material.

Cautiously optimistic. Just concerned how they’ll give some nuance when basically every faction sucks and is evil.

I can’t remember where I read that it might take a human pov, and portray the Space Marines as the monsters that they are.

Very excited.  Amazon Prime's Secret Level show recently came out and episode five is the Space Marine 2/40K tie-in.  Great fun and worth 20 minutes of your time if you're reading this.

Please don't HALO this.  The script is there.  The story is there.  Just make it cool and awesome and don't try to get cute.

Cavill seems to have a ton of reverence for the source material and has fought thus far to keep it accurate. I hope it’s great.

Really excellent action! I read that the guy that made the "Astartes" series on YouTube was involved. I'm really excited to see what sort of stuff they put out, their recent "The Tithes" series had some really great action and grimdark writing too

Cavil is a huge 40k guy. He plays a lot of RPG games/ “nerds” out. If anyone in Hollywood would treat source material well it will be HC.

And more importantly, now that Cavill has shown he will bail on a sci-fi/fantasy TV series focused on him if they don't treat the source material right, and that fans know he will bail if it's not treated right, the showrunners have a huge incentive to do things right.
