I'm still trying to unsee the hairy armpits.

You think Helen Mirren is sleeping with that old man? She can pull in much better.

Dame Helen Mirren is bagging 30 year old hotties i'm sure.

Yeah...like i get it's historically accurate and all.  But it's not something they need to fucking do.  We know they didn't shave back then...but you got eye candy for a fucking reason.

Of we’re doing historic accuracy, we gotta do something about everyone’s teeth and skin quality.

And height for that matter.  Folks were like 2” shorter back then.

450 nitro express makes the same sized holes as any other 45. It just keeps going. Or at least back in that time it was probably the case.

OK Mr. Smartypants.  You're right.  😆

Sunday's episode was a rough watch.

I've dealt with Newark customs and immigrations plenty of time and never got the full service treatment.

It’s not a tense scene if Spence tells the hobos to just jump off the train.

There wasn't a tense scene with them in the car with Spencer, merely wasting more fucking time.

Who didn't see what was coming the minute they had the conversation about the tax?

The tense scene you are talking about was lazy arse writing where Spencer with a straight razor to his throat and a grown man's hand on the barrel, somehow can move around without getting a knick on his face, turn the gun barrel, shoot one guy, and then take care of the other two.

I heard Sheridan saw in a podcast that when he writes these episodes he sits down and cranks them out all at one time which makes perfect sense watching these series unfold.

Because he's so dreamy.

It’s lazy writing but I’ll finish. It’s a shame he didn’t spend more time writing these shows.

Understand, my wife is all in on any of Sheridan's series, but even she has started to laugh at some of the scenarios that are written for Spencer.  Fucking Odysseus had an easier and shorter trip home than Spencer.

Enough with the goddamn priest, for the love of fuck.

Coffee pot train scene was fun though.

And maybe, just maybe, now that Spencer is on a legit train he'll make it to fucking Montana by the end of next episode...there's only 3 left.

I think I missed it, but where is Alex going with the couple? I worry they’re predators as well, because Sheridan.

if there are snow drifts if Fargo, can Spence get around them coming from Amarillo? Feels like one of those old math problems.

At this point, I’ll take Spence getting home by the beginning of S2 E7 and a 90 minute finale.

I thought the same thing. Shit is going to get weird with this couple because Sheridan likes going for gasps.

Winnetka.

Wealthy burb about 30 min north of Chicago.

I didn't sense anything nefarious with the couple.

I think Sheridan has made his point with Alex:

Molested by doctors, marginalized by immigration, robbed and beat up, and finger raped all within like 24 hours

I understand that the story needs to be told, but holy shit enough with the fucking Indians. Just a story line that drags and is not interesting in the slightest.

I just want to see the female marshal kill the dickhead marshal and the priest.

Are you familiar with Sheridan’s work? He could be just getting started with Alex.

I can't wait for her to shoot that guy in the head...maybe the priest too, who for some reason, they're making a bit less...evil this season?

Are there any articles or interviews on Sheridan’s research/writing method?

I know Larry McMurty was an avid reader. Does Sheridan have a giant library we don’t know about? I know he is/was close with the old West Texas ranch hands. I wonder how many of his ideas came from old timers stories and anecdotes?

Only 2 episodes left, homie.  But episode 7, the season (series?) finale will be almost 2 hours. So it does work out to 3 hours of show remaining this season.

Quote

1923 Season 2 is already past its half-season mark, as characters battle all odds to stay alive. TV Insider confirmed that the season is seven episodes long, one episode less than what was originally thought. The episode debuts on Sunday, April 6, on Paramount+, and to make up for the lower episode count, the finale will be almost two hours long. In 1923 Season 2, Episode 7, "A Dream and a Memory," danger and suffering are far from over, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Dutton Ranch. "Jacob (Harrison Ford) and his crew eagerly await Spencer’s (Brandon Sklenar) return at the train station. Teonna (Aminah Nieves) has a fateful run-in. Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) braves the cold," reads the episode's official logline. Spencer's return would strengthen the ranch's position in the war with Whitfield (Timothy Dalton).

Holy shit didnt' know that...I thought 8 episodes.

And fuck that clearly says Spencer won't get there till the last fucking episodes.  ugh.

I'm still guessing Alex barely gets there before the credits role.

I think Sheridan turn over the last few episodes to an AI program and simply asked that every possible stupid decision and peril be included in the script.

Did y’all see Wind River? It’s Sheridan’s masterpiece and it’s bleak as hell.

The frozen Chicago road trip was deeply regarded. The gas station attendant clearly told them there were no more gas stations between them and their destination. I’d say that’s a fairly stringent warning in 1923.

The new 50 Shades of Timothy Dalton blonde has a pretty nice ass for her build. TS knows how to spot ‘em.

Strong Harrison Ford episode. He still has his fastball. May God forgive Kathleen Kennedy for putting him in bad movies in his twilight years.

Aynsley’s kid has to be John Dutton II right? Jack, I assume John I, just died. It makes me wonder what happens to Spencer and Alex’s kid.

This.  And not to mention cars in 1923 were hardly reliable enough to endure a 1500 mile trip (3000 mile round trip) much less on poor quality roads.  But hey it’s an adventure!  Such lazy BS writing.

Next week is the series finale right? Everything online indicates 7 episodes.

I predict a bad ass shoot out in the Livingston where Bronn dies. Timothy Dalton’s submissive escapes, and he bails to avoid a trial/public shame. Final scene will be Alex and Spence reuniting in the snow, Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren crack wise, roll credits.

Damn need to look that up...train attendant seemed to show great reverence after learning that.

Road trip was so predictable...of course good things can't happen.

I still think Spencers/Alex kid is John 2nd, he'll be named after his(spencer) nephew is my guess.  Guess it could go another way.

Glad that fucking Priest storyline is over...it really was a tacked on story with absolutely NO bearing on the ranch or even Montana as a whole.

Also, how long before they wise up to the 2 Livestock Agents that are on Daltons/Bronn's payroll?

It better be a fantastic 2 hour finale.
