Op forgot City of God the Lives of Others and Parasite but that's probably because he's an uncultured American. Also how can you leave Logan and Dark Knight off comics

I would have swore City of God was a 90's movie. Good catch.

I'm a sucker for Guillermo del Toro movies, so I thought Pan's Labyrinth was pretty fucking good

Agreed wholeheartedly on “Pan’s Labyrinth”.

Under Technical achievements, I would add “The Fall” by Tarsem Singh.

Under Sci Fi, “Arrival”, “Ex Machina”, and “Sunshine” are top notch.

City of God is amazing damn I thought it was right before this Era. Newer movies suck ass for real

I don't know if It Follows belongs on the list, but Road to Perdition does.

I get it. I thought Road to Perdition was a bit pretentious (the crime photographer, slow motion shots). Maybe Newman’s performance puts it there.

I don't love those other 2 but Sunshine is a wild fucking movie that most people haven't seen.

Annihilation is one of my fav sci-fis from that period. It might be my favorite although I'm a sucker for Portman and a little gay for Oscar Isaac. I also liked Prometheus but that one seems fairly hit or miss when it comes to what people think.

District 9 was pretty fucking cool and a very unique sci-fi flick.

Primer is a very cool indie movie that explores time travel.

It's okay I'm pretty hammered right now too.
