The Big 12, despite not having a lot of 10 game winners, was a very tough conference this year.

Well, that's one way to interpret 8 of 10 teams having at least 5 losses.  I agree you got you earn your way through a round robin but I haven't seen anything in the bowl season to persuade the Big 12 was "tough." (Not that I think bowls are a flawless indicator of such a thing)

Michigan beat Penn State, they had a tough challenge from an improved Illinois team, and they destroyed Ohio State in Columbus and they cake-walked through their overmatched opponents.

So I reject the notion that Michigan sleptwalk into the playoffs while TCU ground out a tougher path.

Not that my opinion matters to anyone, nor should it.

We would get all the DTs we want if we didn’t suck ass in football for 15 years

if Texas was winning 12 games a year, we would not be having this discussion. That isn’t the case, so logically I am rooting against TCU. I would bet Texas is in the Big 12 Championship game this year, if TCU didn’t flip Quentin Johnston from Texas.

Penn State winning 10 without beating a ranked opponent tells me the conference was weak as fuck. Purdue played in the ccg!

It doesn't because it's wrong. The Big 12 was the best or second best conference by every objective measure and in a round robin you don't avoid anyone.

if TCU wins, Big 12 will be 2-6 in bowls, then 2-7 when GA beats TCU.

1-0 in the only one that counts. I think the Big 12 will take a CFP win over a bunch of pointless exhibition wins. After all the dirt on this league is OU sucking when it counts and Texas sucking all the time.

Honestly curious what those "objective" measures are.

Go Horned Toads! Spit blood in their eyes! Go Frog! Played a great first half. Duggan should have won Heisman and Garrett is a heck of an OC. They won’t be able to keep him after next year but I am impressed with what Dykes has done with this team which was the same nucleus as Fatterson had last year. Apparently “this” can’t be done at UT!

I don’t think a comeback is out of the question, but damn if getting 0 points from two trips inside the 5 isn’t killer.

Need a stop and a score to start the second half and it’s a different ball game.

Also need to get back on the running game. Churn it out 5 yards at a time.

Limit the talk to toads...  No reason to drag the Horns into this conversation today.

C'mon Nicole, only positive Texas stuff in offseason!!!

This is the dumb stuff others pointed out that would infect the board with TCU playing well. Yes, "this can't be done" at the only program in the State of Texas that has won a national championship in football SINCE 1939. And won 4 of them since anyone else won one. Jesus.

And yet they are 1-6 in Bowl games so far...

Most of their starters aren’t even from Texas

Well he'll.

It's not so much rooting for them, really couldn't care less. I'd just like to see Michigan lose.

Asteroid/comet scenario.

Look we all know it can be done. Akers took Royals 5-5-1 team to 11-0. It is just not very common.
