Now we have an old guy who mushroom stamps Republicans on the reg and have well paying jobs across every industry and we get blowjobs every Friday and Saturday.

Wait, I thought we were all too broke to afford housing or kids?

republicans have literally never done anything good for millennials except maybe started long wars for the ones who wanted to see active duty which isn't many

I’m a lot closer than you think. I’m just not a whiny loser cunt that blames politics for any ills in my life. I can see how that would be confusing for you.

There should be no surprise that the first American generation to be worse off than their parents will decide said parents’ system is horse shit.

My point entirely is that the GOP/modern “conservatives” are not in fact conservative at all. Of course millennials aren’t trending GOP in the same way that aging generations did when the right wing party stood for actual conservative principles and ideas.

you're gonna have to show me that timeline where conservatism wasn't intrinsically intertwined with racism and misogyny because despite protestations otherwise I have not seen the evidence. quite the opposite. I think that, more than anything, is why the younger generations will never be R or conservative, however you want to designate the right in this country. the fact that's it's being actively practiced in front of their eyes doesn't help either.

Actually you are a whiny loser cunt that blames Beto for nonexistent ills on gun ownership in your life. A single issue, baby back bitch you are.

Check the inflation threads if you want to see the real titty babies on the Shag. You won’t find that from me.

The right has always been fiscal conservative social conservative. That often meant racist and misogynist, but that wasn’t the main thing. The current right wing is kleptocratic and extremist - they are not conservative at all and the racism is not secondary or seemingly benign enough to be ignored by anyone but people who are actually hateful or are simply fools. So of course people aren’t trending that way as they get older, have more to lose, and thus become more loss averse.

Well the line at 1946 is due to the war ending in 1945 and all the servicemen coming back and having babies. That's why the baby boomer line always starts in 1946.

Statistically speaking if you want to even begin to have an accurate analysis when you're going to make the boomers from 1946 to 1964 then you have to also make the subsequent generations have the same gap of 18. Or make the baby boomer gap 15 and shift the others back 3 years.

I understand making the generations uneven if you're talking purely about experiences, although the beginning years of a generation are always going to be more aligned with the ending years of the previous than they are the ending years of their own generation. But if you want to take statistics out of it, especially for generation size, you can't have one of them be 3 years longer than the others.

CBS had a handy guide for the generations. It’s not entirely accurate…

That is funny, actually. That single issue single handedly kept him from realizing his dream. Just think how different the next decade in Texas would have been, that will not be, so I can go shoot skeet tomorrow.

I will believe the GOP has a millennial problem when I see it. The “don’t worry, once the old people die, it’s going to get better” hasn’t worked before. The terrible people indoctrinate their terrible kids.

They couldn’t keep Barrack Hussein Obama II, a Black communist, socialist, Marxist, Muslim atheist community organizer born in Kenya, raised in Indonesia, trained in Hawaii and Chicago, from office for 8 years, and they couldn’t keep Sleepy Joe Hunter’s Laptop Biden out of the WH either.

They had 12 straight years of the White House before 1992. In the 30 years since they've had 12 years total. 12 horrifically destructive years that got us into 2 decades of war, a horrible recession brought on by corruption in the deregulated banking industry, and completely bungled a pandemic. Unless something changes they probably don't win in 2024 either. They need to change to match the change in America since they've led the charge to mess it all up.

This is 100% it. I know many former farm kids turned suburban mcmansion types who would rather vote republican for fiscal reasons but morally they can't support the open racism and homophobia. There is a clear divide there from their parents.

Saving money, raising your family, wanting to take less chances - and I could go on are the types of things that people do more of as they age. Thats really what more conservative means. Political parties either align with those tendencies or don’t.  Today the world is upside down.  GQP isn’t conservative per se it only focuses on status quo and fear of others which do tend to commingle with aging and being conservative. But raising your kids means giving them something worth having. So to me change and fixing shit is important. Climate change activism quite frankly is the most conservative topic on either side. The fact that the GOP isn’t whole hog on it is more evidence they aren’t the Conservative Party. They are the do nothing party.

Lol. I will agree that I was dumb, but mainly because the posters here had me convinced Texas would vote for that  Tecovas wearing baby back little bitch.  And no, I don’t think any of it was going away. I just want to reiterate what I’d trade your rights and want to live in Texas for.

No, what I actually said is that it has been proposed. Is it your contention that it never has?  Whether it made the final bill, is not irrelevant.  It still means there is someone that wanted that, and makes it an easy choice in the booth. The fact they didn’t get their way doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Maybe you should go back and do some more reading of the proposed ref flag laws, and what has been offered, cut out, and proposed.
