KXAN had 80%/90% for Thursday/Friday. Now it's 80%/70%.

NOAA precip forecast is still holding steady:

Loud and bright right now as to wake my old ass up too early.  But no rain as of yet.  Just turned the sprinkler system on earlier this week so y’all can thank me later.

Woo! Got 0.08" so far today. It's almost slightly damp underneath the trees.

Rain stopped by 6:15 or so in our area, and then as we are getting the kids ready for school close to 7am, it starts pouring.  Pours on us going to car, getting out of car and going into school.  Get the kids in school by the first tardy bell at 7:35 and by 7:40 it changes from medium/heavy rain to drizzle.

Negative, that's the past 48 hours hydromet. I've been more fortunate than those poor souls out there.

Also, the KXAN radar colors are bullshit. Misting shouldn't be a dark green on the radar and just a step below yellow.

Leaving your wife feeling 6.24” of disgruntled?

I am excited to see our lawn when I get home.  But don’t want to jinx it.  The rain has been complete off and on in central Austin but when it rains, it has been thick, hearty drops.  Like a Peter North album

1.78" since midnight and 1.93" in the last 48 hours. 78750, Bull Creek area.

Same around these parts. Hell, had issues with the yard flooding some. For the first time in a while, actually looks like the forecasts might have underestimated things.

Welp, ended up with more than 2.5".

Credit where credit is due. This forecast was spot on.

KXAN saying nastiness is likely early this evening, with hail as large as basketballs. Or maybe they said egg-sized.

Either way, PSA.

I have to pick my kids up from school at 3:15, so it's going to be 50mph winds and golf ball-sized hail around 3pm.

According to the NWS, the main threat from this system will be large hail. Straight line winds and possibly an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out, but hail is the significant worry tonight. I’d make sure your cars are in the garage tonight.

Question --

Have an old roof that needs replacing. Do I cheer hail or no?

To be honest after drought, ice storm, 102-degree months, I'm really worn out.
