2023 Dallas Cowboys "We Suck Again" Off-Season Thread

Parsons says a lot of shit. He probably sticks with 11. He's a potential Hall Of Famer, don't fuck with an established number. Zero would suck on a defensive player, as with most any player, other than maybe a Cowboys kicker.

As far as Davis, he did good, but it's way easier to look good as a number 3 back on selected plays.. Pass protection is huge, it's one of the big reasons Zeke still had SOME value as a player. Too many RBs don't even want to be good at it, or lack the physique or knack for it. It's something that will need to be addressed in the offseason.

Jayron will have to buy out the remaining Kearse #27 jerseys. That could cost hundreds.

The kind of idiot the Cowboys always end up with.

My daughter was admitted to a local magnet for middle school and this is their masot and logo. I'm gonna be sick. She's on the waiting list for another school which she prefers, hoping she gets in, lol.

Good friend has a daughter playing softball for first season, I believe she is 5.  Their team is the Yankees... in the Houston Metro.  He and the mom have already argued about him wearing Yankee gear. he says it ain't happening.  Mom says he's gonna support his daughter.

It's pretty damned funny, but it's also pretty offensive how some youth team names/ colors are picked./S/

There are few prayers in life like the ones when our oldest son was about to attend aggy.  For the way that all worked out, I am forever grateful.

Sports hatred is real.

How Many Draft Picks Do the Cowboys Have in 2023?

The Cowboys have seven total selections in the 2023 NFL Draft.  Through the compensatory pick process, the Cowboys were awarded two additional selections in the fifth round and one selection in the sixth round. One of those fifth-round compensatory selections was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for cornerback Stephon Gilmore.

All of the picks that the Cowboys possess in the first four rounds are their original selections in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Dallas’ original fifth-round pick (161) was traded to the Houston Texans for wide receiver Brandin Cooks, along with a 2024 sixth-round pick. Meanwhile, Dallas’ original sixth-rounder was sent to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins in October.

My bet is @ SF week 1.

Looking at the Jets opponents KC at home would be a SNF week 1 candidate unless the champs are obligated to open at home

They usually open at home. I believe one year they put the champs on the road for that Thursday season opener due to some kind of venue conflict.

The Chiefs will probably open with Philly or Buffalo, looking at their 2023 opponents. Denver is a dark horse due to the NFLs inexplicable obsession with Russell Wilson.

The judges would also accept the Oakland-Los Angeles-Oakland-Las Vegas Raiders.

They should just call them the Los Raiders and be done with it.

Damn, fecals got probably the best value pick in the draft, maybe the best overall player. They love them some DTs. I wish the Cowboys would learn that shit.

Cowboys about to be on the clock at #26.

Dallas draft room wondering WTF with two trades right before their #26 pick ???

  • Giants trade up to #24  CB Deonte Banks
  • Bills trade up to #25    Dalton Kincaid TE

Cowboys fans crying losing Dalton Kincaid to the Bills...  😂😂😂

I've spent way too much time listening to draft podcasts and mock drafts and all that. I've heard heard anyone mention this dude as a first round pick.

He's a big 1T. Freak athlete.

I think I would've preferred a trade back but I'm glad they're putting an emphasis on IDL.

I'm willing to give Mcclay the benefit of the doubt

Likely could have had this guy at 31 or 38.

https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/2023/04/27/cowboys-2023-draft-first-round-trade/

Apparently Dallas took phone calls from two AFC West teams. Both the Kansas City Chiefs (No. 31) and Las Vegas Raiders (No. 38) called Dallas to try and work out the parameters around potentially moving up to No. 26. The Cowboys’ front office rebuffed those offers, at least initially.

They don't have a good track record with end of 1st D linemen so who knows if the eval is right but if it is this is a big help for the run defense. Teams knew they could run on them inside the last couple of years. The playoff game was as good as they've played that in a long time but the niners had no QB and the defense got run on late to take the game.

Huge pick if he's legit. Bad recent history in the end of the 1st on DL makes it questionable.

They’ve taken one end of the last first DL in like 15-20 years. Hard to say they have any track record at all.

They probably should have dropped back a bit but maybe he was their guy all along and didn’t want to chance it plus the price wasn’t worth it?

They FINALLY are spending money and resources in Safety and DT this offseason and we’re still crying about.

Also, no…you weren’t getting a guy like Mazi in the 2nd. He was the far and away best run defender in this draft class and an athletic freak with pass rush potential(trust quinn). Their DL took a huge step forward.
We drafted Taco. Because those fuckers got worked on the Kincaid trade and had no plan. So Taco

It wasn’t Kincaid. Never was. The have their eye on another TE anyways. All over the place.

Some of taco’s scouting reports literally said ‘low energy’
