what a stupid fucking play by the Croatian striker.... you know there are 2 other Croatian players there, you won the ball, dont fucking touch the drama-prone Argentinians and lose you chance at a good shot.

1) GK Willy Caballero continues to suck ass.

2) Mandžukić appears to have been playing in Italy too long.

Why argentina think they can play the ball out through Cabellero baffles me.

My feeling is that Playing Out Of The Back is the way that they are going to play, no matter who the keeper is, AND...

...Sampaoli doesn't want to give Armani his national team debut in the World Cup and especially not in a Must Win (or at least Must Tie) match. Most players have issues with nerves on their debut. The GK is probably the worst position to succumb to nerves.

I don't think that Croatia's #18 plays 90 minutes.

-Either he gets subbed out.
-Or he gets another yellow card.

He can't play without extending his arms into people's faces or stomping on the opposition.

Another Croatian on the ground...

...that should have been an Argentine foul, but not a yellow, because that was more of a retarded step that took out the Argie than a purposeful stomp.

How is that not a yellow? He clearly stepped on his ankle.

He was trying cover the pass back to the defender and cut off the outlet.  There was no intent.  He was looking at the ball the whole way and didn't peek down at the feet.

It's still a dangerous play, regardless of whether it was intentional or not. It should have been a foul plus a yellow.

This ref really doesn't want to be part of another Battle of Nuremberg though.

An accidental clash of feet deserves a yellow?  It obviously should have been a free kick, but I don't see a yellow.  He didn't go in recklessly.
