This pitcher is a fucking disaster.

Also it was hilarious watching Jeter look around with a “where da fuck are all the fans?” look on his face about 5 minutes before first pitch.

Welcome to Miami home slice.

Marlins attendance will be based on how well the visiting teams fans turn out. He should be happy he's getting the Cubs today and not the A's.

It's very rare that I watch an MLB game and don't know who 90% of each teams starters are.  That said, who the fuck are these guys in Marlins uniforms?  Jeter should be banned for this abortion.

I hate to read too much into one game, but based on the decline we saw in '17 (drastic decline in WAR, WHIP jumped by .3, ERA climbed nearly two runs, BAA went up almost 50 points, etc.), I think Lester's shakiness today is something that we'll see repeated a fair amount in '18.  Dude's got nearly 2200 innings lifetime, and at some point, the wheels just start coming off.

he homered in 40% of his games last year.  not sure "unreal" is the right word.  "impressive" better describes it.

of course judge struck out on 3 pitches.  guess the tweet will come later about how hard he swung.

What's with all of the individual team threads?  I'm not going to start a Dodger thread just so I can talk to myself like Mr. Jones of Winky Dinky Dog

The Yankees are 1-0 for the first time since 2011. Also Stanton went yard twice. Judge went 2-4 with a double, Gardner homered, Sanchez doubled, and Sevy was lights out. The rest of the MLB is really fighting to see who finishes in 2nd place at the end, it's obvious that no one's stopping the Yankee machine this year.

Maybe you and that Reds fan can join forces.

Pirates score 4 in the top of the 9th to take a 10-6 lead, then the Tigers score 4 in the bottom of the 9th to tie it at 10. Guessing we will see more of that from both teams throughout the season.
